5 Questions With RO$Ewood Renegade

Hello Jimmy, welcome to BuzzMusic. Can you tell us a bit about your stage name Ro$ewood Renegade and what inspired it?

First and foremost thanks for having me. My name is simple. I’m from Austin Texas and my neighborhood is called Ro$ewood. So that's where the Ro$ewood comes from. And the Renegade stands for my personality. “I have never been afraid to say what's on my mind at any given time” that makes me a Renegade.

The lyrics in "Livin My Dream" are really deep with a meaningful message. What inspired you to write this song?

"Livin My Dream" comes straight from my life experiences no more no less. I’ve been blessed to see the best of both worlds (inside looking out and outside looking in).

Do you see yourself collaborating with other artists in the future? Why or why not?

I most definitely see myself collabing with other artists in the future. I feel collabing will help me gain exposure (new listeners). I feel that's all I’m missing “the ears” and once I get those I’m going to handle the rest.

Tell us about some of the struggles you have gone through and how you got to where you right now as an artist.

Being a hip hop artist from Austin Texas is a struggle alone. Austin is the live music capital of the world, not hip hop. And although we’re 2 hours from Houston and 3 hours from Dallas (shout out to the H and triple D) it's like we’re that close but yet so far. My city gets looked over when it comes to hip hop and I think its mainly because we haven’t had a break out artist yet. Well not until recent shout out Quin NFN. And it is crazy because we have so much talent in the city. But ATX still in the building like the doors and the ceiling.

Thanks a lot for chatting with us. What do you have planned for 2020?

Again thanks for having me. 2020 is all tunnel vision. I’m dropping 4 projects  (1every quarter). so stay tuned and tap in at www.itsrenegade.com
