Ambria Elàn Releases Her Latest Pop-Rock Anthem “Man”

Ambria Elàn is a dynamic talent based in Ojai, California, drawing her musical inspiration from diverse artists, including Lady Gaga, Foster the People, Adele, and Gracie Abrams.

From age three, music instantly became her sanctuary, acting as an emotional outlet and a shoulder to lean on. Not only did music serve as a healing method, but she also quickly discovered that her true calling lay in sharing her experiences and emotions through songwriting and performing. Following her EP "Loner (Demos)" in 2021, Ambria is set to capture her listeners' hearts once more with her newest release, "Man."

"Man" is an energetic track that springs to life with a vibrant, angst-ridden guitar riff. This foundation is expanded upon with rock-centric drums, evoking a nostalgic aura akin to the late 90s and early 2000s radio hits. Ambria enters the soundscape with her powerful vocals, delivering a message of empowerment: "I'm too good for any man; it might be for the girls. All these guys, they come to me before they get a girl.”

The track was born out of Ambria's desire to explore and poke fun at contemporary dating norms candidly. It reflects her exhaustion from repeatedly being made to feel undervalued. Ambria reflects on her past experiences with the lyric, "I must be so, so in my head, thinking about how he left me on read," reclaiming her worth and asserting her autonomy.

The song is an inspirational source, reaching out to listeners who may feel undervalued or unappreciated. By turning her personal experiences into a relatable, empowering anthem, her message is certain to resonate with audiences worldwide.

Congratulations on your latest release, “Man." How has growing up in Northern California influenced your musical style?

Growing up in a small town influenced my musical style in how I think and execute. I think I’ve always yearned for more. I’ve always wanted to step away from that small-town mindset. I’m grateful to have had that grounding growing up, though. I needed it.

What was the creative process behind your new single “Man” and how has it evolved since your EP, "Loner (Demos)?"

The creative process behind my new single “Man” was fairly simple. I was driving late at night, thinking about dating and how frustrating it can make you feel, so I came up with the melody and chorus and brought it into the studio. I wanted to be in charge of how I was feeling. This song lets me do that. It allowed me to be angsty, confident, and vent.

What message or lesson do you want listeners to take away from "Man?"

My style has evolved immensely since my EP “Loner (Demos).” I’ve become more confident in my sound and allow myself more freedom in my art. So giving myself the freedom to balance caring and not caring regarding my writing. I know how to have fun with music now. At the beginning of releasing original music, I was very much in my head about how it would be received and catering to that. Now I just let go.

Describe your sound or aesthetic in 3 words.

Angsty, painful urgency, grunge.

Are there any upcoming projects you’re looking forward to sharing?

I’ll be rolling out more singles…so stay tuned xx (the music video for Man will be released shortly after, and I had way too much fun with it).
