“I’m ready for the new challenge,” says Ryan Jacob Doyle who recently relocated to Los Angeles. He formed his latest project RYNO in New York City just about 5yrs ago. He has performed at Viper Room in the past but he takes the stage with fresh energy and new band member, David Dombrowski on Drums (in photo).
LA Weekly recently listed RYNO in the ‘Top10 entrepreneurs to follow on Instagram in 2021’. The attention was gained from the success of his weekly series of cover songs called ‘Not By Me Mondays’, The series extensive playlist includes everything from Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Love’, all the way to ABBA’s ‘The Winner Takes It All’, but it was his cover of Mariah Carey’s ‘Always Be My Baby’ that really caught on and has almost 250k+ views on Instagram and 100K+ on TikTok. Doyle entered the music industry in 2010 with his PopRock quartet, MORE THAN ME, The group won an international Battle Of Bands that sent them to London’s Hyde Park to open the main stage of the Hard Rock Calling Festival for Sir Paul McCartney.
His latest release ‘Troublemaker’, features Ohio based brother-production duo, ‘Hey Monea’ and is a collaboration with songwriters Matt Connors & Joe Nicastro. The single was released this past May and has already gained almost 200k plays on Spotify. The team celebrated the release with a Benefit Concert in Buffalo, NY that raised several thousand dollars for cancer research hospital, Roswell Park.
As for New Music, RYNO and London-based production partner, Patch Boshell are currently wrapping up mixes for a new EP due out at the top of the year. He wrote the whole batch of tunes on his own as a self-therapy through the pandemic but was excited to once again co-produced with Boshell. The two of them remotely worked on the batch of tunes throughout the pandemic and RYNO describes the collection to be “A retro dance party that is brutally honest and radically vulnerable.”
RYNO takes the stage at the Viper Room on October 30th at 7 pm. Also on the bill for the Kelly Mcgarry production are Evan Roth, Wax Owls, Jordana Lilly & Maddi Fraser, Jasper Henry, and Them Fantasies.
