LA’s very own R&B queen Alexya graces BuzzMusic once again, this time delving into her life-changing songwriting process with her single “Sick of Love Songs”, and how she deals with adversity. After being asked where she found inspiration to write another love song that was wittily titled “Sick of Love Songs”, Alexya explains how it was all a fast-moving process. After experiencing the universal mourning of Kobe Bryant’s death, and personally morning over a friend who recently lost their life, Alexya was thrown into an emotional fire and came out stronger than ever in the end. Not to mention Alexya’s deep industry background being apart of the Fabulous Girls, managed by Master P. Recalling how he would take care of business and get tasks done, Alexya felt compelled to face adversity with force and do what she loves most, making music. She stops at nothing to give her audience a sense of freedom and relief, channeling the deep meaning of the Spanish word “chignon/a”. She effortlessly captures the intellect, determination, and fresh vibe which she intents to portray.
