Artist Spotlight: Take a Swim in Amaka Queenette’s Deep Sea

This humble, full of soul R&B singer hails from Pickering, Ontario, a stone through from one of Canada's busiest cities, Toronto. At just 20 years old Amaka is making music that is defying genres and creating a broad niche following of devoted fans. Collaborating with her local community of industry professionals, Amaka has teamed up with established Humber college producers and musicians. Tapping into this level of professionalism, Amaka has been able to further her sound to create melancholy, soulful soundscapes that stand proud on their own.

In 2019, Amaka made her debut Toronto performance at Adelaide Hall, a multifaceted event space holding up to 500 concert goers for the annual Canadian Music Week event. Following this, she curated and closed out a sold-out show at Lee's Palace in Toronto, one of the finest entertainment houses in Toronto. Hot off the heels of a very successful 2019 Amaka was named one of NOW magazine's "Ones to Watch" in 2020. Amaka certainly has our attention, its time she had yours as well.
