Hey BLSNG! Welcome to BuzzMusic! We love your original sound! How long have you been involved in the music industry? How did you get first started?

Hi! Thanks for having me! Glad you guys like the single! I am brand spanking new to the music industry. My involvement with music has mostly been within the church because that’s where I grew up and really developed this gifting. I’ve always led worship and have done so since I was about twelve or thirteen.

We love your song “You’ve Got It”! It seems deeply personal and uplifting. What did you hope to achieve with this release?

So this song was written over a few weeks of just being woken up without fail at 5 am every morning over a year ago. I couldn’t fall back asleep so I’d go for a drive and pieces started to come together, now here we are! My hope with the release of this song was A) to literally just share where I was in life. I think we live in this paradox of a world where we’re so connected yet very lonely at the same time or we’re watching people’s “highlight” moments on social media thinking we’re behind and there’s a lot of shame and anxiety and comparison that goes on. I think sharing and vulnerability break that cycle because people realize they’re not the only ones. B) I wanted people to know that they didn’t have to carry the weight alone. One of my favorite passages in the bible says, and I’m paraphrasing here, you can’t add an hour to your life by worrying, there’s enough going on today. So let tomorrow worry about itself and give it to God, so that’s exactly what this song is about.

This debut really highlights your versatility as an artist. Will you be releasing a larger project in the near future?

Yes! The plan is to have an EP out next year hopefully early spring. I’m excited!!

How would you say your music now compares to the music you curated when you first started out at songwriting?

I think when I first started songwriting, I had a particular formula based on what I heard that I thought I had to adhere to as far as structure or even subject matter, but as I’ve grown older, I don’t feel like there’s any one way to write a song and I like having the freedom to write about any and everything.

We really appreciate you taking the time to chat with us! Do you have any shows or events coming up that you’d like to let us know about?

No upcoming shows/events as of yet, but I am available! Haha
