Canadian Rapper BrYonge Shares His Deep Thoughts In “Up At Night”

BrYonge is a talented rapper and lyricist from Toronto, Canada making waves in the music industry. After releasing his debut tape My 2¢, BrYonge didn't stop his creative process. Only 6 months later, he has dropped a new full-length project. Now it's time for “Fresh For No Reason”, a mixtape featuring 10 new tracks.

The first track featured on the album is “Up At Night” and it can only be described as haunting lyrical excellence. BrYonge comes equipped with flawless bars and a hard-hitting delivery. The heavy bass, slight undertones of synths and soft piano presence set this track apart in today’s industry. BrYonge curates a spooky vibe while keeping the overall track a contemporary hip-hop hit. His retrospective track “Up At Night” allows his listeners to relate with BrYonge on a deeper level, therefore establishing a solidified foundation for connection with his fans. Overall we love the intro track “Up At Night”, I highly recommend you check out this track and the other 9 tracks on “Fresh For No Reason.”

Welcome to BuzzMusic, BrYonge! Can you start by introducing yourself to our readers? How did you create your stage name?

What's up y'all I'm BrYonge da only one aka BrYsolo aka YoBi aka Fresh For No Reason. I write songs because sometimes I'm not able to express myself I want but the music allows me to be creative with my expressions. My name came about when i was working at Lids  downtown Toronto at the Eaton Centre (Yonge & Dundas). I was stuck between 2 or 3 names at the time the other one was Princesco. So I asked all my co workers and even the customers which name they liked better. BrY is the first part of my govey Brian & Yonge is because i always worked downtown on Yonge working in the Eatons in all also Yonge Street is one of the longest streets so to me it symbolized longevity. When you say it together it sounds like Brian just with a twist like a caribean person saying it with an accent.

How did you get started in the music industry?

I guess when you enjoy something so much you fall into inevitable places.

What’s your track “Up At Night” all about?

Up At Night is about reflecting. I feel on this record I'm talking to my dreams, my problems and my current state. I really want to go somewhere be somebody but they're are obstacles. And this song is gearing me up for what I'm about to do and where I'm about to go

What can listeners expect from your album “Fresh For No Reason”?

Each song explores a different creative direct, tapping into different influences and ideas.

Its the freshest shit you heard in a long time. No doubt music you can take with you, smoke too chill too provokes thought

What’s next for you through 2019?

I feel like times flying and I'm flying with it. I'm going to continue to work on my craft, create a business and tour hopefully. I want to gain new experiences after touring Europe last year I've been wanting to see more of the world.
