Shellz Da Kid is currently in preparation to go on tour following the release of his album.

We checked out the track “Running” off of Shellz Da Kid’s album “I Messed Up”. Shellz’s vocal style and sound is a big part of what gives his music personality. In this case, the delivery is fairly calm, keeping with the underlying sentiments and mood of the music. Everything is low-key and personal. At the same time, this isn’t an artist merely aiming high to give off a conscious rap aura, this is an artist naturally rooted in that style of writing. “Running” flows through flawlessly, effortlessly, with confidence yet a mellow and humble presentation. This suits the lightness and the slightly retro vibe of the soundscape beautifully. We can’t wait to hear more from Shellz Da Kid!

Hey Shelvon! Welcome to BuzzMusic. What does your track “Running” represent for you? What do you hope listeners take away from it?

I have to say that the song Running represents my relationship with God..I’m still young but I’m willing to go wherever he calls me. I hope listeners find hope and inspiration to make it to another day.

What do you hope to achieve as an artists?

As an artist I always wanted to be able to look back when I’m older and be able to tell my children about how cool it was being able to make awesome music and follow my dreams.

Can you tell us more about your project “I Messed Up”? What inspired this album?

The album is about a guy named Desmond, he gets arrested and processed in jail and while he’s in jail his little brother tells him about Jesus. This album was inspired from one of my good friends life actually..same story lol and he was ok with me telling his story long as I didn’t put his name in it hahah.

What’s next for you?

Tour this Fall! And a deluxe version of this album which will include 4 more songs.
