"Come Alive" With The Latest From Davinceó

Davinceó is never afraid to vocalize his feelings which is one of his strengths which provides a connection to his listeners all over. Growing up in various urban areas of Detroit, Davinceó has gathered his life learning experiences of sex, love and success into a sound of his own. His music makes a gateway for dark ambient Trap R&B especially in his latest release "Come Alive".

With a heavy flow and lots of syncopation, Davinceó knows how to make a verse his own. In the age of Soundcloud rappers and the likes, it is often hard to find which people to listen to. Listen to Davinceó once, and you will be hooked with his incorporation of melodies and witty lyrics.

The instrumental in "Come Alive" seems to take influence from Juice Wrld with dark chords and rhythmically moving verses and chorus. The soft use of the piano brings in the ambience of the track while the slow yet steady beats make for the Trap influence, and lastly the melodic use is from the influence of the R&B genre. Davinceó's lyrics in "Come Alive" are explicit and raw while telling his point of view of his love life. If you choose to listen to anyone new in the rap world, make sure to listen to Davinceó because he will reel you in immediately.

Hi Davinceó, can you introduce yourself to our readers?

I'm an entrepreneur, singer, rapper, producer, songwriter, and future movie score composer from the East side and West side of Detroit, MI. I grew up in various areas around the city in the metropolitan area. My mom raised me as a single parent, so I grew up with limited resources, but I've always felt less was more. I used my imagination for the most part for entertainment. I would describe myself as persistent, caring, head strong, and humble with a "Big Spark" of charismatic traits.

What made you get into music?

Truthfully, I gained a love for music just from having a love for it, but I've always participated in talent shows, various dance groups, rap groups, and drama club.  My mother still bring's up stories of me dancing or singing to the music she'll be playing like Michael Jackson, Kenny G, Evelyn "Champagne" King, and Earth, Wind, & Fire. I really love R&B, Rap, Classical, Country, Jazz, and for the most part anything that sounds good. A few of my favorite artists range from Aaliyah, Amy Winehouse, JAY-Z, Drake, JoJo, Tupac, Yo-Yo Ma, Sade, Jhené Aiko, Beyonce, and Anita Baker. Each of those artist's I learned things about myself through their music and applied it to my own talents and life as well.

Has it always been easy for you to be vocal about your feelings?

I've always been shy, timid, and observant as a kid, but I've always been able to vocalize how I felt through poetry, writing a song, or dancing. Recently, for the past two years I discovered to just lay my poetry on the track without writing it. I'm a deep thinker, so I believe in creative expression through all forms of creativity. Whether I'm happy, sad, bored, or feeling silly I try to go record without writing anything down.

What prompted you to write, “Come Alive” and what is the meaning behind the song?

I really love that song because it came together so naturally. I recorded the melody at like 4 a.m. on Jan 9 and wrote to it. That didn't work out too well. So, a week later I went to the studio and improvised, It felt more natural than reading lyrics.  The song is about a woman I haven't seen in several years, who's in love with my car, its actually based off a real encounter. She basically only wanted to be in my presence because of my car. It's like the term "Back then, They didn't want me, Now I'm hot they all up on me" S/O Mike Jones and Houston,TX. Throughout the song I'm reflecting on various situations about money, women, deceit, mistakes, and past relationships like a "Note To Self".

What would you say is your favorite lyric in “Come Alive” and why?

My favorite lyric is "I'm so numb, blame it where I'm from, dumb and they young...". I'm speaking from a place of basically being a product of my environment. I grew up in rough conditions but that's what made me who I am today.

What is one thing you would want your listeners to get from listening to you?

I would say an understanding of "Myself", My story, and whatever they're able to take from the situation to benefit their own lives. I'm really big on the listener taking what jumps out to them. Everyone's perception is different. I've heard I'm a "VIBE", but truthfully I just record from the heart.

What can we expect next from you Davinceó?

I'm currently just working in the studio constantly. I have so much coming, so you should expect something from me very soon.
