Welcome to BuzzMusic, Desarae Dee, and congratulations on your latest release, "Fuse." We loved "Fuse," what a fantastic release! Every sound just went together so perfectly! What was your vision for this release?

Well, this song is special. In 2018, I almost quit music due to lack of support, writer's block, and not knowing what else I had to offer. Then, I realized that I genuinely wasn't using all the musical gifts I had outside of playing the piano, and I discovered Garage Band (what I was using to produce at that time), which completely changed my music career trajectory. Alongside this, I started taking producing more seriously, learning about sound design and what sounds fit well together, and staying true to my musical uniqueness. "FUSE" was one of the first songs I created after making that realization. I've always been fascinated with electronic and house music and wondered what fusing Jazz chord structures with these two genres would sound like. I wanted to create an upbeat song that had an 80s vibe to it - almost like a Michael Jackson vibe, and I wanted it to be musical! I've had this song written for nearly five years before I decided to team up with my co-producer, Trill Beetz, to elevate the song.

What inspired you to start making music, and what inspires you to keep making music today?

From the time I was 15, I was writing my music, and my inspiration for writing came from my uniqueness and ability to hear music in a different way that was not the norm. I strongly believe in cultivating your unique sound, unique to who you are as a person and artist. My passion and my love for music continue to be my driving force for continuing to create timeless, unique, and "outside the box" music.

What's been your favorite thing about being able to make your music and share it with fans?

My favorite thing about creating music is being able to show people that music doesn't have to "sound a certain way," be "regimented," or "have rules." I've always been someone who went against musical boundaries, and I would bend genres in a way where I could tell my story and hope that it resonated with listeners.

What would you want it to be if your audiences could take one thing away from your music?

Through my music, I have discovered who I am as a person and as an artist, and I hope that listeners resonate with the music I create and that they, too, can be inspired through their journeys of self-discovery.

What's next for Desarae Dee? Can we expect to hear more new music soon, and is there anything you want to say to your fans?

What's next for me? Well, there will definitely be more music coming for the holidays, and who knows what 2024 has in store for me. I'm sure it's going to be amazing!
