Welcome to BuzzMusic, Duke Domino. We appreciated every second of your reflective and emotional new single, "Thinking." What was the main source of inspiration behind this personal piece?
"Thinking" was inspired by late-night busking summer nights at my usual spot downtown. As I was playing around with some chords and the thought of a certain special someone. I came up with the song and wanted listeners to feel nostalgic and feel excited about thinking of their loved one's smile, the sparkle in their eyes, and their warm embrace.
What was the most rewarding part about creating “Thinking?" What did you appreciate most from the experience?
Like every song, the most rewarding part of creating "Thinking" is the satisfaction of composing a fun yet romantic song made purely from the heart. It was crucial to me that listeners can feel the emotion through my voice and rhythm. What I appreciate most from this experience is experimenting with various crowds at different gigs. Sometimes slow, sometimes fast, but just the right pace depending on the night. "Thinking" came to be from months of trial and error to get the song right!
What impact do you hope "Thinking" has on your audience?
"Thinking" can be enjoyed with the following activities:
1) Singing along to "Thinking" 2) Playing guitar 3) Learning guitar 4) Cruising in the car 5) Walking the dog...or the cat (a capybara?) 6) Cooking a meal My hope is that through taking any or all of these activities, my listeners can feel at peace, have fun, and relax when listening to my song. P.S. "Thinking" is not limited to the activities listed above. Do anything...but just listen to "Thinking"...you won't regret it! What does "Thinking" mean to you? How can listeners understand you and your music better through this emotional debut single? "Thinking" is one of many songs I have been working hard to compose for the past few months. What started as a simple thought in my head became much more. Inspired by many people to release it earlier...because they've enjoyed it so much. I am glad that it is finally out for the world to listen. However, this is only the beginning...Listeners can understand me and my music better through "Thinking" by making sure they drink at least 8 glasses of water a day and eat 1 apple a day etc. I'm kidding! In all seriousness, I want them to know that this is for them, and I always make songs for anyone to relate to. Whether it'd be your beloved pet or your partner. Whoever they may be, if they are important in your life, never forget about them and always have them in your thoughts. Always.
