In 2021, I was going through a tough time, and during that time, I learned a lot about myself and the journey that I'm on. Hunger is what drives us to reach our life's goals and to better ourselves each day, so I wanted to showcase that in a song.
What was the most rewarding part of creating "RICH?" What did you appreciate most from the experience?
The most rewarding part of the creation of the song and video was the feedback from my fans and supporters, who reached out saying the song helped them emotionally. With the current state of the world, music is a way to push people and get them through the day. Whether I inspire only one person or a thousand people - I want them to know that they're not the only ones going through whatever situations they may be going through.
What does "RICH" mean to you? How can listeners better understand you and your music through this emotional debut?
"Rich”, as both the song and as a word, symbolizes more than just finances - it’s about striving to be sound physically, mentally, and spiritually too. My desire to become these things is in order to be able to take care of not only myself but those around me as well. The listeners can understand how I create my music through "Rich" by understanding that I want to motivate them in addition to making a good song. By always looking forwards instead of backward.
How did you want the production and sonics in "RICH" to make listeners feel? What was your goal with the song's overall atmosphere?
I wanted the song to feel inspirational to everyone - that they can become someone or accomplish anything they want. At times we may feel like things are moving against us, and we're all constantly battling with something. I wanted to highlight what really matters in life.
What's next for you?
You're going to have to wait and see! We got more music on the way, but we don't want to rush anything. We know that it's a slow and steady path to our destination, so I'm just taking it day by day.
