Elshay is a super cool artist hailing from the UK. Having been compared to artists like Majid Jordan and even Drake, he is bringing the sound and not stopping anytime soon! Elshay gives us hip-hop influences with a soulful tone, something making this artist one of a kind. He has already released two singles from his debut EP and now returning with a new upbeat song “Is It Wrong” a track we are hoping to add summer playlist!
Okay Elshay! I am digging this song immediately! I can hear some old school Jon B with this one which is a compliment. I love his vocal tone and the range in which he sings in it gives this song so many different levels of sound. This sounds like a RnB radio hit already like a song you can hear blasting on Hot 105 easily! The lyrics even catch you in a zone. What I really enjoy is the cover art. Details, it’s all in the details and this guy has an esthetic that has stayed true to him with all of his work! It’s like a Modern Old school trippy style and it deserves so much credit! Great track and definitely something to cruise down the highway in the summer to!

Hey! Could you please introduce yourself to our readers?
Hey, I'm Elshay. Im a R&B/POP singer/songwriter from the UK.
When did you begin getting into music?
I first started getting into music when i was in in secondary (high) school. My older brother used to rap, so i would start writing rhymes to try and be like him. I then started singing to sing my own hooks. Eventually i dropped the rapping and stuck to singing. Im pretty sure I'm a much better singer then rapper to be honest. For the last few years i have been writing for other artists but now I've decided to focus more on my artist project as i feel like I'm really starting to find my sound.
Tell us more about this new track “Is It Wrong”?
My latest track 'Is It Wrong' is a an upbeat Pop/R&B song. I wanted to write a "love" song that wasn't too serious and heavy. Its harmless and fun and should make you smile when listening to the lyrics. Its about them initial and feelings and interactions you have for someone that your trying to get to know more.
What are your goals with your music for the rest of the year?
Im hoping to release my debut EP sometime this year. But I'm also not trying to put too many restrictions on my creativity. I keep writing new material and get excited about new stuff. I'm really enjoying putting music out and its great getting feedback and finding my audience, so I'm really just hoping to continue doing that this year.
