London King is an actress,singer-songwriter and writer that has gained buzz with her good music not only in the UK but on a Global platform. London King was born an entertainer and proved this at the age of four when she amazed an audience of 500 people with her performance. She would later front the rock band “Rancid” and would later start her solo career at the age of 18. Her second and latest EP Antichrist Child was where she got to work with well known producers in the industry including producer of the year Aubrey Whitfield. Currently, London King is working on her third EP as well as her third novel.
From her EP, “Ice To Fire” is the first track out of five. We are greeted with an upbeat electro vibe instrumental. We can hear the influence of early 80s with a touch of new age pop music in the mix. Heavily synth chords accompany London’s splendid and slightly edgy vocals. From the lyrics we can infer that she is talking about someone she has feelings for, from the lyrics “You touched my soul”, and “Ice To Fire”. London tells about how a person has made her change and now she knows that they are the one for her. Make sure to check out her socials and new YouTube channel!

Care to introduce yourself to our readers? Can you give us a brief history of your musical career?
Hello everybody, my name is London King, and i am a singer/songwriter, actress and writer based in London. I started performing when i was 4 years old and i started making music at age 14. I used to be in a band at the time, but went solo when i was 18. My first single as a solo artist came out in 2014, and it was called Sinking in the Darkness. I have a total of 2 EP's out, and i am currently working on my 3rd.
How did you come up with your name? Is there a meaning behind it?
My name comes from a nickname my classmates gave me when i was 12. They used to call me London because of my passion for this city. I have always wanted to visit London, but back then, i'd have never thought i would come to live in it.
Do you write your own music? Can you tell us a bit about your writing style?
I do write my own music, although the last two EPs have been co-written with Aubrey Whitfield, my producer. Although i know the classic song structure, when i write on my own i tend to 'break the rules' now and then. My first EP was entirely written by me, and you can see in many points i tried to let it go of the schemes and be myself, do what i feel in that moment, writing wise. I am also a writer, and i am currently working on my second novel. Even in this new novel, i try to express myself without thinking too much of 'expediencies'. Writing is a form of art, at the end of the day, it needs its own freedom.
We’re really into your new song! Can you tell us a bit about it? Where did the inspiration behind the song come from?
My latest song 'Immortality' takes inspiration from a short story i have written a couple of years ago. I was imagining this young woman, loveless and lonely, begging for something to make her feel important, and that she has a purpose in this world. She was sick and tired of simply existing and surviving, she wanted to be somebody, so she makes a very radical choice: she makes a pact, where she gives up everything, including her soul, in exchange for fame, glory and immortality. That song is one of my favorites, a mini journey into my writer's mind.
What’s next for you?
In the near future, a new song, and new music video. In the new year the release of my brand new EP, and a new book!
