To call IWestWest an artist isn’t enough to describe how multifaceted he is as an individual. On the contrary, he is a multifaceted business that has creativity and street sense. His experience includes producing and performing with E40, Too Short, and Bohagon to name a few. IWestWest’s time with other others has gained him valuable experience to add to his developing resume. Some people call him a hip hop artist with an international feel with having roots from the South, while having a West Coast vibe. IWestWest has been releasing songs and since have released over 300 and counting.
The track titled “Sidewayz” is his only track on his Spotify, which will leave you wanting more after listening. A chill rhythm is incorporated into the track with his busty lyrics getting down to the grit. He incorporates a smooth beat while it coincides with his blunt lyrics. His influences include 2Pac, Dre, Eazy-E and Ice Cube which is evident in his choice of instrumental beats and melodies. His interesting combination of Southern twang is also heard in the track. However, we see that the West Coast style prominent throughout the chorus. Make sure to check out the full song available exclusively on Spotify.

Care to introduce yourself to our readers? Can you give us a brief history of your musical career?
Of course I can, What’s uppers Buzz Music world. I’m I West West, Thank y’all for having me Yahdahdahmean.
Hmm.. A brief history, Well I’ve been a solo artist since like 06-07. Around that time, I had i distribution deal with universal and a single situation with Sony.. But I caught a charge where the state tried to give me 46yrs in prison so I had to sit down for 26 months to fight the case which definitely made it hard to do music . But a lil before that I had the opportunity to work with a few heavy hitters in the industry which helped keep me stay relevant during my trial. The day I beat my case I was released and drove str8 to a set of this indie film that I had been selected to play in... yep that happened, Crazy right . Lol but I didn’t start recording music again until like 2011-12.
How did you come up with your name? Is there a meaning behind it?
My name was given to me by one of my homies, Young Deez started calling me I West or he’d say I West West. A couple ppl heard it, Mostly females. And it caught a flame from there lol.
Yes, it does actually have a meaning. It reps where I’m from, California (The Bay Area) and Colorado (Denver).
That’s Two western states and I’m there living in and from both areas so I West West . Lol get it.
I’m in Atlanta now but Everything’s to the West on mine lol.
Do you write your own music? Can you tell us a bit about your writing style?
Yeah, Yes, Yep - I absolutely write my own music. I’ve written for others as well. When I write it’s like mixing potions or something magic. Like I can feel the energy or aura fill the room. Once that happens it’s about to be some fire, Believe it. I only write real life things, nothings made up or exaggerated nothing at all. I use different times and moments and clash them all together. Real life action. With me you’ll never get the same sound or thing twice. I don’t know how it’s done but all of my music sounds different. All of it.
We’re really into your new song! Can you tell us a bit about it? Where did the inspiration behind the song come from?
Thank you, I love it when someone likes my music. That’s like one of the reasons we make music is for others to enjoy it. So hearing that never gets old. Thanks again.
My music, like I was saying earlier is real life to the tee so it can get ugly. But it’s also like a help guide cause I put a lot and I do mean a lot of messages in my songs. Depending on how illuminated you are certain trigger words I use will take your mind exactly where it needs to go. That’s an amazing thing about music, real music.
My inspiration comes from life. The world we live in inspires me, People I come across inspire me. Situations or conversations I’m sensitive to the inspiration vibrations lol.
What’s next for you?
Whoa, I see me doing so much in the industry. Mainly helping others. I mean to go where I’m going that’s a lot of power to have to not want to help others. So I’ve already made my promise to the Most High about that.
I’ve had the luxury of doing indie film and I like it so I might do a couple films, but not like the recycled films you see. I wouldn’t mind shooting my own projects and releasing straight to Netflix or whatever platform is willing to work with me. The industry is opening up like that so the possibilities are unlimited. Besides the industry things. Making the ones that count around me getting them in position to bless others as well.
Help others by helping others feel me. That eases the road and makes room for greater things to take place.
Of course I’ll always make music. I don’t see that ever stopping even if nobody listens. I’ll be right there somewhere releasing music.
