Italian DJ and Producer Teo Mandrelli creates future-glancing House/EDM with a balance of heavy/smooth bass lines and catchy melodies. “I Know” has that perfect club dance groove that makes you want to just let your hair down and get loose. It’s fun, vibrant, bold, exciting and it’s nothing less than extraordinary. In my opinion, it’s perfect for all music esque, EDM festivals. I can picture a crowd of thousands just enjoying the sound and the freedom of this song. It’s the musical interpretation of “youth", the song is hip and fresh. Something about the way Teo created this project has me drawn to the song and the style. The lyrics flow eloquently which vibe well with the beat. It has a certain funky flare to it that I personally enjoy. Being a DJ is tough since you have to really understand the in and outs of the music and spend meticulous time creating a masterful piece. Do you write your own music? Can you tell us a bit about your writing style?
Yes! But I do work with collaborators, I love to mix my ideas with singers and writers around the world.
We’re really into your new song! Can you tell us a bit about it?
Thank you! I’m glad you like it! I’ve got the acapella from Mike James, a super talented singer and writer, and I felt in love from the first moment, it was so catchy and cool. I got back to Mike and I started to create the instrumental of both versions immediately. I tried the original and the vip mix a lot in several clubs and festivals and reactions was always amazing, so I decided to send it to Time Records and release it with them.
Where did the inspiration behind the song come from?
I just started from the “Drop" as I always do, and the track was already there after some hours, the sounds and the vocal reminds a bit “Galantis” and “Don Diablo” styles.
What are three things you’d love your fans to know about you?
This is a nice question, i’m trying to be always myself on socials and in live person. And I hope that my fans appreciate it, this is my big passion and my big love and I’d just want that people can enjoy me and my music.
Any upcoming shows? For someone who hasn’t seen you live yet, how would you describe your performance?
Sure! I will be in Europe for the next few months, with several gigs every weekend basically! And i’m also planning my next USA tour for 2019. During my set I really try to connect myself to each member of the audience spreading love and passion. I think is super important to do that, Is not just playing some music but to become one thing with the people.
What’s next for you?
I already produced 4/5 new tracks that I will be released in the next months, and i’m planning my next tours around the world with my manager Warren. I’m so excited this one has been the best year in my career so far and I’m sure it will be much more in the future!
