Welcome back to BuzzMusic, Jacob Giaimo. After listening to your new single, "Sun Support," you have us itching to get outside. Could you describe the moment at your parents' house when you felt inspired to create a feel-good poolside hit?

Sure, of course. I remember listening to a good amount of Bob Marley during that time. Prior to that, he wasn't someone that I considered a great inspiration. Primarily because I hadn't devoted the time to really get into his music. Once I had, I was instantly inspired to write a song like "Sun Support."

What was your songwriting process like for "Sun Support"? How were you able to write such picturesque summer scenes that leave listeners yearning to soak up the sun?

The writing process was relatively quick. I try to write music every day, and sometimes, you'll get lucky when a song comes to you in an instant. "Sun Support" was definitely one of those times when I picked up my guitar, and the melody just came through.

How do you hope listeners feel when hearing the new single, "Sun Support"? What was your goal in terms of how listeners would react to the song?

I hope they feel happy.

Do you usually create such upbeat, feel-good tunes like "Sun Support"? How does this song differ from the rest of your discography?

I would say I don't typically write upbeat music. Not that I can't or don't like to, but for whatever reason, when I was younger and developing an affection for music, I'd tend to feel more moved by an emotional/slow song than by an upbeat song. Naturally, when I came to write music, I leaned into a style that reflected what initially drew me to music.

What's next for you?

I'm in the process of recording an album and hope to have it out by this fall of 2022. Stay tuned! Thanks.
