James Ghareeb Releases His New Song "Runaway"

From Chicago to Los Angeles, singer songwriter James Ghareeb is a blend of Pop, R&B Acoustic Soul, Hip Hop and a touch of Rock N' Roll. A diverse artist that makes change look uncomplicated and exceeding expectations look norm, James Ghareeb is what we can call a prodigy that’s on the rise. He released “Runaway” a single composed of many designs that generates a detailed hit. With the beginning delivering us a pop instrumental infused with Hip-Hop, James Ghareeb starts singing with a melodic gritty voice filled with edge and steel, sprinkling the perfect rock touch onto the song. He transitions back and forth between abrasive, to soft. With lyricism that touches base on wearing your heart on your sleeve, James Ghareeb conveys his song meaning in the hippest way possible. The hook has a sing-a-long quality that’s going to have you either humming, repeating the song or both! The studio production of “Runaway” was really neat to me. The way his vocals were able to carry the song through its entirely can be credited to the meticulous mix and mastering. Especially due to the vibrant and complex instrumental, it would have taken detailed effort in meshing all these stylistic sounds into one jam. Check out “Runaway” and connect with this artist on his social media!

Care to introduce yourself to our readers?

Hey! My name is James, I moved to LA in January from Chicago. I've been out here working with different producers all around Los Angles. My music genre is a mix of pop, acoustic, some rock and R&B. So it's got a little taste for everyone!

Can you give us a brief history of your musical career?

For sure! So I've been making music for about 10 years. A few years ago a couple of my vines went viral, and it really gave me a boost for my music. I gained a lot of fans from it and I started taking it much more seriously. I flew out to France to work with Ay Man (the producer on Runaway) and we recorded an EP, Hanging from the Stars. The EP did so well, it came out to be number 4 on iTunes Pop New Music! Since then, I've been working on different records. I have so much material to be released and I can't wait for the world to hear it!

Do you write your own music? Can you tell us a bit about your writing style?

Absolutely! I write my own music, but I also work with some songwriters on different songs. We sit together and write, write, write. As far as writing style, it all depends on my inspirations at the time. I've been getting into producing my own music lately, and that has given me much more inspiration.

We really love your new song Runaway! Can you tell us a bit about it?

So Runaway is an interesting song for me, it is one of my shorter songs I've ever released. I got to work with Ay Man, the producer from France on this song and it brought back some amazing memories from France

Where did the inspiration behind Runaway come from?

The inspiration from Runaway stems from two different places. It's about feeling a certain way about a place that has become toxic to you that your only option is to runaway. The other inspiration for this song comes from wanting to chase something you've always wanted, taking a step that will help you reach that. Whether its leaving all your friends, family, or even the person you love for something that you want.

What are three things you’d love your fans to know about you?

This is a tough question, I'd love to meet everyone who listens to my music and all the people that relate to it.  Three things I'd love my fans to know about me are: 1. I promise to keep releasing music much more frequently. I know I've been in a little hiatus, but I promise it's for a good reason! 2. I love listening to new music, so if you have any recommendations, shoot me a DM, I'll always take a listen. 3. Colours is coming.

Any upcoming shows? For someone who hasn’t seen you live yet, how would you describe your performance?

I've played a few shows in Los Angeles this past couple months. However, right now i am really focusing on releasing new songs! However, if you're around the area for a show of mine, COME! I promise you I will get you moving. My shows are really stripped back with an acoustic guitar, a kick drum, and a loop pedal. I usually have an electric guitarist playing along side of me to get those solos rocking.

What’s next for you?

More and more music to be released and many shows to come! So much new material for you just waiting to be released! I hope you can stick around and listen to all the new music coming out soon! And for all the fans, I promise you, Colours is coming!
