A huge congratulations to you on your latest single, “Call Off (feat. Philup Banks).” With such a solid team bringing this song to life, how did the original concept for the song get created?

Thank you! The original concept was actually about cutting off other girls for that special girl. Then one of my friends walked into the studio and said the record should be called "Call Off" because I call in so much for my music career LOL. So from there I wrote the hook and was like "this is it"!

Could you please share a glimpse into what the creative process looked like when fashioning the finer details of this track? How did the collaboration between yourself, APLUS, and Philup Banks come to be?

Well, I knew the hook was solid, but I was stuck on a melody that I loved for the verse. So I reached out to my friend Grammy Award Winning Songwriter "Anesha Birchett" of APLUS. She sent back this fire melody and the lyrics flowed from there. Then I contacted my homie Philup Banks to collab on this record because he always comes with fire.

Are there any memorable moments from this release that you think shape this song to be that much more powerful?

Oh most definitely! There are few ladies I have dated to where you just wanted to spend more time with them. It's like "hey don't worry about work today.... I gotchu....just spend the day with me".

What is your mission statement as an artist?

I want people to relate to my experiences through my music and to have experienced through my music if they never have!

What's next for you?

Well, the music video has been released on Apple Music, Tidal, and Vevo. So I'm excited about that. My untitled EP was supposed to drop this month but I broke my foot, so I had to delay my cover photoshoot. Hopefully, it is all healed up soon, so that I can get back on the grind.
