Thank you! Yes, when writing this particular record I wanted to speak for ‘my ladies. The Power of the ‘P’ is Very Powerful, it’s not always what you do it’s how you do it. Me being a Feminist it’s really important for me to always Convey that in my Music.
What was your collaborative process like when teaming up with producers Darius 'Deezle' Harrison and Eric '88Fingaz' Parham for "Monkey?" What sort of sonic feel and atmosphere were you going for with this single?
My collaborative process was super easy. I write all of my own music, so when my producers presented the beat I knew it had to have my name on it!. As far as sonic, I wanted to give my listeners a euphoric vibe.
Seeing as you're quite the visual artist as well, should we anticipate a music video for "Monkey" sometime in the future?
Yes, absolutely! Monkey’s video will be super creative, fun, sexy, and full of bananas!
How does "Monkey" contrast or relate to your debut EP 'How I Do It?' Does the single capture similar vibes as the EP, or did you travel in a different direction this time around?
I’ll be honest with you, “Monkey” doesn’t Contrast with my Latest EP 'How I Do It' I stepped out of my own box with this particular single. My Latest EP “How I Do It” was honestly just a warm-up to where I am now, creatively-wise.
