Born and raised in the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro, Ra7ael is a multifaceted artist who is looking to relate to his fans through introspective songwriting.
As a singer, songwriter, model, dancer, and actor the arts have been coursing through Ra7ael’s blood since day one. After dipping his toe in various branches of the arts, from pole dancing to ballet, he eventually settled down after finding his passion for music.
Inspired by Amy Winehouse and Britney Spears, he embraces the unforgettable melodies of Pop music while simultaneously delivering reflective lyrics. Within his charismatic production that features soulful guitar lines and electronic synths, Ra7ael stands out with his gravely and melodic vocals that have been compared to Lil Wayne.
In a recent interview with BuzzMusic, Ra7ael describes the unique story behind the lyrical inspiration of his recent single “ILLegal.” The songwriter stated, “I remember getting inspired by the lyrics at my friend’s birthday party when there were two police cars in front of her house and I could see the neighbors staring at us in their yards waiting for the cops to do something about it. Nothing actually happened. In the beginning, it was supposed to be just a party song, but it ended up being about taking wrong decisions because of bad influences and how low we can go just to impress someone that might not be even worth it.”
