His new track “Hit A Lick” grabs the attention of the listener with its catchy beat and
instrumental. Reminiscent to his predecessors and influences, it has solid verses and at around 1:29 in the track, MoeGotti inserts this cool kind of melody which lasts for a little while before it goes back into his solid verse form. MoeGotti stays close to his New York roots which is evident in his music video. He encases what the new generation of Hip Hop and Rap is which will capture a lot of people’s attention with his cool beats, lyrics, and visuals.

We had the chance to talk with MoeGotti about his career, new music & more! Check it out below
Care to introduce yourself to our readers? Can you give us a brief history of your musical career?
My name is Moe short for my real name Mohammed. I came to the United States when I was 7yrs old. Since little I always had an ear & Vision for beats & rhyming words with it. Growing up in Brooklyn Bed-Stuy I slowly started growing a passion for writing music but was always afraid to show it & express it since you didn’t see many Bengali kids rapping or even being into HipHop Music. As I got older I realized the diversity in Hip Hop/ Rap game. I grew more confident with exposing myself.
How did you come up with your name? Is there a meaning behind it?
Moe is short for my real name Mohammed & the Gotti is From obviously nun other than John Gotti, he was well known for many things but what inspired me the most about him is that he was a family oriented man & I come from a big family so that meant a lot.
Do you write your own music? Can you tell us a bit about your writing style?
Yes I write all of my music! Since very young I always found a happy place when it came to writing & listening to music. My style is more listen to the beat and see the energy I receive from it & than write what comes to my head.
We’re really into your new song! Can you tell us a bit about it? Where did the inspiration behind the song come from?
Well 1st & foremost as you can hear the beat is from Offset hit record “Ric Flair Drip” I was listening to the song & the beat caught my attention & as soon as I heard the song I had a vision in my head on remixing the song & just write about modern day lifestyle of us young upcoming rappers with a dream of “hitting a Lick”.
