Welcome to BuzzMusic Rita Over, and congratulations on your latest release, "New Chapter." Where do you get most of your inspiration from when creating music?
My inspiration comes from artists such as Tate McRae, Mimi Webb, Ariana Grande, Adele, and Sam Smith. However, not just other artists can inspire. Going through different experiences and writing about them also helps to inspire me.
Could you describe the creative process behind creating ''New Chapter?" I remember starting with the song's chorus, and then I created the storyline from the chorus to create the rest of the song. The song's name came to me first when I thought I wanted to write about starting something new as it fits with where I’m now. What are you most excited about in this ''New Chapter'?" Why? First, I hope people can relate to my song about starting a new chapter. However, I am excited about any new opportunities in the future and writing more songs for people to relate to, whether from my own personal experiences or seeing other people's experiences.
What message would you like people to take away from "New Chapter?"
The message I’d want people to take away is that starting a new chapter in a relationship or a career is never a bad thing. This is the start of a new chapter in my life, writing songs that I love and relate to and hoping others can relate to. It’s always taking a new leap into life and starting where you want to start. What's next for you? Writing more songs that I love and for people to love them too, and take any new opportunities that come my way.
