Jarod Ryan Harris originally and raised out of Kansas City, MO and now resides in
Atlanta, GA. Seeming to take influence from today’s modern hip hop artists, such as J.
Cole and Russ, Ryan Cabana brings his own work of talent to the table.
“DMC” is one of 8 tracks on his EP Cabana Musik which has a track with the
same title. The track has a familiar and well structured hip hop beat. Cabana switches
voices similar to the style of Kendrick Lamar. The toy piano melody in the background
really gives it an angst feel to it. The intro starts off with a talking introduction giving us a
sort of basis of what the song will be about. As the track progresses, the beat gets
harder with heavy syncopations in each measure. Ryan’s verses are harsh and brash
and get to point by using clever sayings. He has great rhythm and displays his ability of
flow in his track. The only downside to this track is that it is only two minutes and fifteen
seconds long making the listener want more. “DMC” gives a little taste of what his EP
has to offer. Each track gives another perspective to who Ryan Cabana is as an artist.

Care to introduce yourself to our readers?
My name is Jarod Ryan Harris, I go by the name Ryan Cabana.
Can you give us a brief history of your musical career?
My musical career is only beginning. Literally lol
How did you come up with your name? Is there a meaning behind it?
It’s a little weird. Cabana is actually a shelter or a hut at the beach. When everyone thinks of a beach they think of positive vibes and that’s what I’m all about positive vibes.
Do you write your own music? Can you tell us a bit about your writing style?
I do write my own music as well as produce my own music. My writing style in particular, I use metaphors and illustrations. But I try to do it in a way that people can relate to.
We really like your new song "DMC"! Can you tell us a bit about it?
My new song DMC actually stands for “Dead Mans Confidence”
When we look at Money, all of those faces are dead presidents or Dead Men”
Money is not everything, but when you do have it, it brings a confidence. Believe me, money doesn’t make me or represent me, I’ve just come from a background and even currently not having A lot, so every now n then you have to Flex a little bit.
Where did the inspiration behind the song come from?
The inspiration behind the song came from like I mentioned not having a lot. And me awaiting my time.
What’s next for you?
What’s next for me??? Like my dad always told me, when youre down or starting from the ground. The only way to go is up.
