Because 20 Years is something that should be cherished. And it's what the world needs to see more harmonious marriages.
How would you describe the sound and vibe within your single, "My First Love?" Were you influenced by any particular genres, artists, or projects?
My sound is R&B / Soul Jazz, including Neo Soul. However, I am versatile and can perform in any genre. I don't really have an influence such as an artist, I have my own creative style. I do love many R&B/soul artists such as Jill Scott, Indie arie, Anthony Hamilton, Mariah Carey, Toni Braxton, and a few pop artists and many more genres.
What was your husband's reaction when you asked him to be a part of the music video for "My First Love?" What was it like working alongside him?
My husband was excited.. and it was a beautiful experience to bring our love story into a visual music video before the world.
What was your goal with the "My First Love" music video?
My goal was to invite the world into our love story of a king and queen. And also show that there are a lot of happy marriages out there that God has placed together and has not given up on their marriage. And also to let the world know that there is someone for everyone.
