We love the vibes of your latest single, “GPS.” What moment inspired the creation of this song?

Thank you for having me. The inspiration came to me after I heard the chorus of the song.

We love the 2000’s styled ambiance that sits in this track. Could you please take us into what the creative and recording process looked like for “GPS”?

Well the hook “Shawty gotta GPS on me, etc...” was actually introduced to me by my good friend (Aaron Freeman) who’s a wonderful songwriter, I built the storyline around the hook. From there, I reached out to my uncle (Jimy Bleu) an amazing musician and producer, and my good friend (LOVRemy) another wonderful producer and songwriter. Then the results are what you hear.

How does it feel to have one of your songs going viral on Dubsmash, Triller, and TikTok? Do you think this will play a role in how you write music from now on?

It’s very humbling. Actually, before the song was released I posted, I believe it was 20 seconds of the song and people were hyping it up. My DMs were blowing up, people were asking when the song is dropping and then the next thing I know on Tik Tok everyone was doing the #GPSChallenge. I couldn’t believe there was a challenge going on to the song, that’s when I decided to release it. It actually falls into place with how I write my songs, ie; music that will make people feel good with a good storyline.

What are you most excited about next in your career?

I’m looking forward to branching into all avenues of show business that I can, like acting, I love musical theatre, and hopefully collaborating with other artists.

What has been keeping you inspired to create music?

I’ve been writing and performing since I was 10 years old, and I love it. It’s what I am born to do. I come from a family of musicians and entertainers, I’m a fourth generation. It’s important to me to keep my family’s legacy going.
