Young God Blow has released his new single 'Saucin' featuring 'Konfettii' who both operate a collective music group called 'The Great Lamez'. 'Saucin' is part of a four song music project 'Ice Age Kyoto' that is bound to catch some major waves in the hip hop community. Young God Blow has released the official music video for 'Saucin' that features skyline views of New York City, and some fun breakdown dance moves from both Young God Blow and Konfettii. The song has catchy trap style beat, while Young God Blow and Konfettii pair off into their own rap hooks.
Care to introduce yourself to our readers?
My name is Young God Blow, I’m a 19 year old music artist from Brooklyn, New York. I’ve been making music for a short period of time but I feel like I’ve grown exponentially.
Tell us a bit about your new song and the writing style behind it.
To be honest this is a song my fellow group mate 'Konfettii' & I made a while back in January and it’s not until now that we decided to drop the music video for it. At that point we were just friends with a dream, but when we found the beat for it on YouTube courtesy of Arcade Era Beats (who is now our producer) we knew we had something special going on. Instantly we were free styling and when I came up with the part “I Feel Like I’m From Tokyo” I knew we had to record this track. From there we were just vibing off of each other’s freestyle until we came up with the whole song.
Where did the inspiration behind the song come from?
Once I heard the beat I got this real old school samurai Japan feel going on & I mixed it with current elements of rap music.
What are the top 3 things you would love your fans to know about you on the more personal side.
In all honesty rapping and music has been such a huge influence on my early life , I was always an outcast looking for acceptance. Since hip hop was always such a huge thing I decided to give it a try to see if I could be more popular. It was second nature to me because I’ve always written poems to help me through hard times. Eventually going into middle school I got into little rap battles with other kids in the school and had a reputation for myself “Joey Two Bars” because I’d always win the battle, in two bars or less.
Another thing about me is that before actually recording music I started a collective called 'The Great Lamez' with a few of my friends. We came up with the name in High School - we were always looked as the weird and lame because we stuff that wasn't popular. We decided to take pride in that name, and continued to act as we were without giving a care about what other people thought. I feel like I have talent, and I want to use my platform and ability to make great music to act as a beacon of hope for the people who’ve felt like an outcast at some point in their life.
My official solo debut mix tape “The Youngest God” will release on my 20th birthday on August 19th and that’s going to be my best project yet.
