Welcome to BuzzMusic 20 Locc. Cheers to dropping a banger with “Pressure,” on which you've created a unique blend of reflection and rawness. What inspired you to tackle these seemingly contrasting themes within the same song, and how do you think they complement each other? I am inspired because it was just a joke when I started. But now, I have developed myself into something else, which inspired me to do more in my music, lyrics, and my choices in general. Also, the support I needed was always there from my friends and family, which inspired me to take charge in the music industry. I’m still learning and mastering my own techniques/skills to be where I want to be. But the themes are just who I am as a man and what goals I plan to achieve. I always like to keep things straight up to 100, and the truth comes with it. I can also say that it’s real in what I say in my verses.
The West Coast trap vibe in "Pressure" is hard-hitting and memorable. How did you develop this particular sound, and were any specific influences or experiences that led you to create this style for the track?
The way I develop my sounds is through tones in music. I match my melodies to the beats, and the beat drops in forms that make the song sound better than usual. Since I was youngin, I’ve always had a rough childhood growing up with drugs, gangs, and killing in violence. I realized that shit ain’t for me, and I express my sound through my lyrics, successes, mistakes, and failures. So, I created my style and flow the way I want. It took a couple of years to match my flow to certain beats. But now I’m willing to change my genres sooner or later to try something new to me.
One of the standout elements in "Pressure" is your captivating storytelling. Can you share any personal experiences or stories that influenced the lyrics, and how do you connect with these themes when performing the song? A Personal experience I had was when I was 16, and I had a lot going on from school to work, and I was also trapping thinking it was the best for me. But the pressure was on me, and the balance wasn’t there. My mind wasn’t in the right place at the right time, and eventually lost what I worked hard for. I realized that my head was thinking too much about the present and not enough about what I wanted for my future. So I took things slow, watched my motions and made it my motive. Now I’m a Chef at a steakhouse and have the skills and knowledge to succeed in multiple careers. But my true passion in my vision is being a music artist. I would connect themes with my lyrics, my tempo and my tone. I want to make my music all natural and original, from making my own beats to recording and mastering my own music. This will show me who I am through my words and actions, especially when performing live.
The song title "Pressure" can have various interpretations. What does the concept of pressure mean to you, both in terms of the song and in your life as an up-and-coming artist? How do you handle the pressure to succeed, especially in a competitive industry?
The concept of “Pressure” could mean many things in this situation, just from how “Heat” or “Fire” the bars and verse come. I also would put pressure on their ears or how it can be put on them in any situation. It all depends on where you put that pressure, and for me, I put the pressure on myself and my verses to improve and improve. I would handle the pressure by controlling situations that a normal person wouldn’t, and to succeed, I would put the pressure and the weight on my shoulders to do more in the music industry and to create better flows that most can’t match. The pressure would lead to my improvements in abilities and skills.
As "Pressure" is sure to gain traction and showcase your raw talent, what are your plans for the future? How do you envision your growth as an artist, and what can fans expect from you regarding upcoming projects or collaborations?
My plans in the future are to take off in the Music Industry and show everyone the raw talent and skills that I have. I want to be able to go on tours and shows to make a name for myself. I can envision my growth by investing more in my self-promotions and, sooner or later, working with big collaborations. They can expect more music videos coming along the way and finishing projects for EPs and Albums. Also to find more collaborations soon with people that can help me get to where I want.
