Aaron Brings Back Grown-Folk R&B With Sultry New Single “Body Right”

Independent R&B artist Aaron is bringing romance, intimacy, and a little old-school charm back into the spotlight with his upcoming single, “Body Right." Serving as the lead single from his forthcoming project, All Feels, Vol. 2, scheduled for November, the release introduces a more mature and sensual direction for the emerging singer-songwriter.
Drawing inspiration from the undeniable chemistry of '90s R&B, “Body Right” embraces everything that made the genre's golden era unforgettable: smooth vocals, seductive melodies, and an appreciation for genuine connection.
But Aaron isn't simply revisiting nostalgia. He's putting his own perspective on what grown-folk R&B should sound like today. At its heart, “Body Right” is about making your partner feel like the most important person in the room. Rather than approaching intimacy as something one-sided, Aaron celebrates attentiveness, mutual satisfaction, and understanding what your partner truly wants.
There's a playful confidence behind the song's concept, but also something refreshingly intentional. In an era where relationships can feel increasingly disposable, Aaron is reminding listeners that romance still deserves effort.
The single also offers a glimpse into the evolution of his All Feels series, an ongoing exploration of R&B's many moods, sounds, and emotional dimensions. With All Feels, Vol. 2 approaching, Aaron is leaning further into sophisticated storytelling and the intimate side of relationships.
“Body Right” sets the tone for what's ahead, offering a welcome reminder that great R&B has always been about more than attraction. It's about making someone feel genuinely wanted.
“Body Right” draws inspiration from the sensuality of ‘90s R&B. What do you think that era understood about romance and intimacy that today’s R&B sometimes overlooks?
I think ‘90s R&B understood the importance of building a feeling. It wasn’t just about the physical side of intimacy; it was about the anticipation, the romance, the vulnerability, and the emotional connection between two people. The music gave you room to feel something and really sit in that moment. I appreciate how that era could be sensual without losing the emotional depth behind it. With “Body Right,” I wanted to draw from that feeling while bringing my own sound and perspective to it. For me, it’s about creating music that allows people to connect with the emotion just as much as the physical experience.
The song puts a woman’s pleasure and emotional connection at the forefront. Why was it important for you to approach intimacy from this perspective, and what conversations do you hope it encourages?
For me, it was important to make a woman’s pleasure the focus of “Body Right” because I think there’s something special about taking the time to understand what makes her feel good. Intimacy is about more than just the physical act; it’s about being attentive to her, making her feel desired, and creating a connection where she feels comfortable, appreciated, and fully in the moment. I wanted to capture that through the song in a way that feels natural and confident, while celebrating the importance of a woman’s pleasure. I hope it encourages more openness around what women want and need in intimate relationships, and reminds men that there’s something meaningful about being intentional about a woman’s experience and making sure she feels just as valued as she should.
There’s a fine line between paying homage to classic R&B and developing your own signature sound. How do you balance those influences while making sure your music feels distinctly yours?
I think it starts with understanding what you love about the music that inspires you, without feeling like you have to recreate it. I’m drawn to the emotion, the melodies, the vocal expression, and the way classic R&B could make you feel something. But I also want to bring my own experiences, ideas, and personality into the music.
I’m constantly learning more about myself as an artist, and that naturally influences how I write, how I approach a vocal, and the kind of records I want to create. With “Body Right,” I wanted to capture some of that classic R&B feeling while allowing the song to exist in its own space. For me, paying homage is about carrying that feeling forward, not trying to recreate a particular moment in music history.
“Body Right” introduces a more mature direction for All Feels, Vol. 2. What personal experiences or changes in your outlook on relationships influenced this evolution in your songwriting?
As I’ve grown, I’ve become more interested in exploring the different dimensions of love and relationships rather than approaching them from just one perspective. I want my songwriting to reflect a greater understanding of connection, intimacy, vulnerability, and what it means to be intentional with love. I also think growth comes from becoming more comfortable with yourself and allowing that confidence to show up in your music. With All Feels, Vol. 2, I wanted to explore a more mature and sophisticated side of my sound while continuing to experiment with the different emotions R&B can express. “Body Right” represents one side of that journey, but the project as a whole goes beyond one feeling. It’s about showing where I am creatively and allowing listeners to experience that growth with me.
All Feels series explores the many emotional dimensions of R&B. Looking ahead, what sides of yourself have you yet to reveal through your music, and how do you envision the series evolving as your career progresses?
I feel like there’s still so much of myself that I haven’t fully explored through music. There are so many experiences, emotions, and perspectives that I want to continue expressing as I grow, both personally and creatively. One of the things I love about the All Feels series is that it gives me the freedom to explore the different dimensions of R&B without feeling confined to one sound, style, or emotion. I want each volume to represent a new chapter in my development as an artist while remaining true to the heart of what the series represents. As I continue to evolve, I want the music to evolve with me. My hope is that listeners can grow alongside me and continue discovering new sides of my artistry with each project. R&B has so many different ways to make us feel, and I believe there will always be new emotions, experiences, and stories for me to explore and share through my music.
