Born and raised in South Africa, the aspiring artist Michèle Ducray grew up surrounded by a wide range of musical influences. With the help of artists such as Luciano Pavarotti, Prince, Elvis Presley, and Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Michèle Ducray discovered her passion for music at a young age. The budding artist now resides in Christchurch, New Zealand where she is working tirelessly to record, produce, and release a handful of singles for her excited fans. Collaborating with producers Devin Abrams and Simon Gooding, Michèle Ducray has released her debut single “Midnight” which captures the attention of her fans with hooking melodies and storytelling songwriting.
In a recent interview with BuzzMusic, Michèle Ducray describes her hopes for the evolution of her music in the years to come. The New Zealand-based artist stated, “I feel "Midnight" was such an amazing starting point for me. It will always hold the most special place in my heart. I love that it was certainly a chill, dark, alternative start for me but one that I feel truly captures my voice, as an artist. I will definitely be traveling the more "pop-prone" route, however, I'm gonna add my own series of twists onto this. The next songs will be a bit faster and more "pumping", to lift your spirits from that, haha! I can't wait to show everyone what I've got coming up next, you're in for a bit of a treat!”
