Brando AR Doesn’t Hold Back In Energetic New EP, 'HighSight 2021'

Artist and producer Brando AR has released a high-energy, hard-hitting project with his latest EP, 'HighSight 2021.'

Brando AR discovered his love of music at a young age, growing up listening to the legends of rap including The Notorious B.I.G., 2 Pac, Easy E, along many more. His passion for music leads him to try his hand at writing his own raps, creating his own verses to the instrumentals on the B-sides of his favorite songs and albums. Later on, he began the process of teaching himself how to produce, inspired by the likes of Dr. Dre and other greats.

Brando AR was able to hone in on his songwriting and producing over the years and has managed to carve a name for himself in the industry thus far with his creative flows and unique style. He demonstrates versatility in his releases, jumping between themes of personal struggles and triumphs throughout his life as well as heartfelt messages that allow him to connect with a wide range of audiences. We can’t wait to see what Brando AR comes out with in the future.

Now, let’s take a deeper look into his latest EP, 'HighSight 2021.' Starting off the project, Brando opens with the energy-infused, high-intensity track “Wake Up.” A track to blast at high volume with all your friends, “Wake Up” sets the stage for the rest of the project and tells the listeners what is to come. We then transition into “150 Sheets,” driving home a message to his haters, proving to them why he should be one to watch. Reiterating this message throughout the hook in between his detailed bars.

Next up, “Status” paints a picture for the audience of a female protagonist in Brando AR’s life, diving deep into her story with intense lyrical imagery that combines with powerful production elements. Second, to last, Brando AR lays it all out with “Oh Well”, a heartfelt track about the people who have doubted him throughout his path to success, only showing him love once he’s proven to them he has made it. Brando AR closes off the project perfectly with “Guard Your Vision,” combining soulful, sultry backup vocals into his production, contrasting his powerful vocal delivery and fast-paced bars.

Throughout the EP, Brando AR strings along with similar production elements and themes carry through from track to track. This helps to tie the project together extremely well, blending each song into the next and driving home its lyrics to the listener. Overall, 'HighSight 2021' is a hard-hitting, high-intensity, and well-rounded piece of work. Brando AR’s vocals punch through on each track, supported by the intensity with the production and sonic elements that drive home his messages.

Unapologetic in his songwriting, Brando AR tells stories of his personal life, calling out his haters, and hyping up his fans all at the same time. 'HighSight 2021' is an honest, raw EP that sheds light on Brando AR’s ability to deliver variety and vocal prowess throughout fast-paced bars. He also flaunts his production skills through hard-hitting beats, and we are eating it up. We are extremely impressed with 'HighSight 2021' and can’t wait to see what Brando AR bring to the table in future releases.

Welcome to BuzzMusic, Brando AR! We are so happy to have you here and want to congratulate you on the great work you’ve done throughout your EP 'HighSight 2021.' Can you tell us a bit more about a few of your inspirations when creating this project?

First and foremost thank you for your interest in my project, I'm truly humbled. I would say consistency was the main inspiration of this EP. I've spent all of 2021 creating music, both writing and honing my craft as a producer. The end of the year came fast and we hadn't released any material besides some visuals from a project I dropped at the end of 2020. I personally felt the need to have some kind of a release in 2021, even if it was New Year's Eve. It technically counts right? We made the decision to drop this EP about 2-3 weeks before we released it. Normally we wouldn't rush something like this but as I said I wanted that 2021 release plus I had so much content it made sense to pull the trigger to release it. That was the actual inspiration for the title. We picked songs that we felt summed up my year as an artist/producer.

Did you face any challenges or roadblocks throughout the writing or recording process of 'HighSight 2021?'

I didn't have any challenges really. All the songs came organically, no crazy thought or time was put into the creation. It was a normal process of creating music. When I wrote each song it wasn't with the intention of going on this project with the exception of "Guard Your Vision" the last track. I produced that one for the EP specifically, the other tracks were done throughout the year.

Did you have a specific idea in mind of you who hoped this EP would resonate with the most? What do you hope listeners will take away from the project as a whole while listening?

I didn't have a specific demographic in mind when creating this project. I feel like in general, the music I make is pretty diverse which suits all walks of life, so I tried to embody that with this effort. There are tracks you can work out or party to, as well as tracks you can chill and smoke to. If you like lyricism, catchy hooks and hard beats it's got that as well.

There are very distinct production elements that carry on throughout the EP, blending the project together really well and supporting your vocals throughout each song. Did you have an idea of the kind of atmosphere you wanted the instrumentals and production to give off in 'HighSight 2021' when you began writing the project?

With the exception of the last track "Guard Your Vision" all the other songs were already complete prior to the "idea" of the project. I had visuals shot to "150 Sheets" and "Oh Well" directed by Matthew Scott of AR Film House, which we planned on releasing as singles. When deciding to put out this EP those 2 were easy picks because we had already shot the videos and they played well off of each other. "Wake Up" was the first song off the project that I actually recorded. From the time I did it, my business partner, Relz Reliano said it would be a dope intro for an album. Keeping that in mind, that's how we started it off. The tempo and energy on "Wake Up" is much higher and more aggressive than "150 Sheets" and "Oh Well" so I needed to offset it with another high energy record so we added "Status" produced by Dj Skillz B out of London. This was another track we were sitting on for a minute but always felt like when we released it, it would get some great responses. And it has, it seems to be one of the crowd favorites so far. "Guard Your Vision" I actually produced with the idea of the EP in mind which represents me and where I come from hence how I was inspired to create it plus I also wanted to wrap up the EP with a nice wind-down track you can vibe to. I made the tracklist to be almost like a rollercoaster ride of emotions throughout the journey.

What's next for you?

I have a lot going on at the moment actually. As I said we spend all of 2021 creating so 2022 it all comes out! The goal is to release an EP along with visuals every month through our label America's Reality Entertainment/A.R. FilmHouse. I'm also producing projects for label-mates as well as other international artists around the world. To sum it all up I want my 2022' to be full of consistency, creativity & substance. Thank You to all of Y'all at "Buzz Music" for the Love & Support.
