BuzzMusic Interviews GaëL!

Hey GaëL! “All on You” has a strong lyrical depth to it! Can you dive into more details of the lyrics?

The lyrics are definitely inspired by a period of trying my best to meet everyone's expectations and falling short of it every time. I went the through a difficult period in my life and realized I was placing trust in all the wrong things and allowing myself to sort of become a slave to those things. I saw that a lot of others live that way without even realizing it. This song really shifted my perspective from trusting in people and things, to instead believing in God (higher power) and remembering that I cannot leave for other people's acceptance.

For those who don’t know, how would you describe your sound and your approach to making music?

My sound is mixed with the new school hip hop/trap however still in the era of the late 2000s.

I have strong and versatile flow and lyrical content and still have catchy verses and hooks. I make music for people who love real raw music. I approach every song wanted to do the best that I can do depending on the feel and what is in my heart.

If you can only choose one, which of your latest tracks would you recommend to new listeners, and why?

All on You is inspired by placing trust in God through trials and circumstances and having a positive outlook on life believing that things will get better.

Yes I always write from a place of honesty and personal experience, that being said not every song is about me. I choose to write even from the perspectives of others as well at times.

What are the main values you want to represent in the hip hop world?

The main values I want to represent is Love and positivity and another option. A lot of things that artist do music about are the same. I just want to bring a different perspective.
