Hey Tatiana! Welcome to BuzzMusic! What age did you start recording your music? Did anyone give you a push to begin doing that?
I started recording when I was 16 years old. I was always writing songs as a kid so when I finally let my dad hear he pushed me to get into the studio and I haven't stopped since.
Tell us more about “Cute”! What’s your favorite part of the track?
"Cute" is the first song off of my first EP entitled "Options" which can be streamed on all streaming platforms. "Cute" is just a fun upbeat song basically talking about a boy I like but it's clearly going nowhere and as bad as I want to just walk away I can't 'cause he's just so cute lol I love the chorus of the song just because it's so fun and catchy.
What was your childhood/ upbringing into music like?
As a kid I was always shy except for when my sister and I would put on plays and sing and dance for our parents. I grew up listening to a lot of Michael Jackson, Prince, Mariah Carey and Toni Braxton, just to name a few. My dad was in a singing group back in the day so I guess I get it from him. I first performed in my high school talent show and that was when I fell in love with performing and my craft.
Who are your biggest musical influences? Why?
My biggest influences would be Michael Jackson just because he was an incredible performer and his music was timeless! Etta James because of the emotion she put into her voice to make you feel what she felt when she was singing. Toni Braxton, i just simply love her voice and she's how I learned to hit a lot of lower notes. There's so many artist who have influenced me.
What are you up to for the rest of 2019?
I've been working on some new material as well as still promoting my EP "Options". I have alot of shows coming up as well. Just trying to stay as busy as possible doing what I love to do! :)
