The New Orleans R&B songstress returns with another standout release that’ll have your head in the clouds.
Driven by an unwavering love for music and an uncanny ability to transform personal adversity into something positive and beautiful, New Orleans artist Dash Michelle has quickly cemented herself as one of the brightest rising talents of her generation. Born Destyni Michelle Green, Michelle’s talent and passion for music began at the tender age of three, spurred by American Idol and iconic acts like Destiny’s Child, Brandy, and Aaliyah. Armed with an uncanny sense for melodies and silky vocals that glide over instrumentals, this bright young star is one to watch for the future.
Initially finding solace in music to cope with depression and being misunderstood, Dash Michelle is no stranger to adversity. Impressively, where others may have crumbled under the pressure, she’s prevailed, bouncing back repeatedly while channeling life’s challenges into soothing releases that leave you feeling like you’re on cloud nine. Having met her musical mentor, Davis Chris (an impressive and talented artist and producer in his own right), Michelle has further unlocked her already vast artistic potential. With releases this smooth, it’s only a matter of time before she has her big break.
The first thing that pops out on Michelle’s new release, “Stain,” is her dynamic vocals. “Ima make you say my name / You can’t get it off your brain”, Michelle sings in the first few opening lines, immediately making a solid impression. An underlying power runs through the first couple of lines of “Stain.” Still, in subsequent lines like “Not for the faint / I’m dangerous / Get you hooked like angel dust,” this feeling is akin to sweet honey, striking an intoxicating balance between the dangerous and appealing. Oh well, you know what they say: high risk, high reward, but when the music is this good, you might not even care.
Dash Michelle’s new release, “Stain,” is enticing, sweet like honey, and catchy. Whenever you’re ready, tap in and stream Dash Michelle’s new release, “Stain”, available now on all majour streaming platforms.
