On December 31, 2025, global content creator David Dobrik and Emma Pills hosted a high-profile New Year’s Eve celebration in Sydney, Australia, marking the official Australian retail launch of his snack brand, Wavers.

The disco-inspired event took place at the home of Australian fashion designer and influencer Emma Pills, bringing together an international mix of creators, media personalities, and tastemakers to celebrate both the new year and a major brand milestone.
Wavers Officially Enters the Australian Market

The New Year’s Eve event coincided with Wavers’ expansion into Australian retail, landing in 7-Eleven and Spudshed locations nationwide. A broader rollout into Woolworths Australia is scheduled for early 2026, marking the brand’s next phase of international growth.

For Dobrik, the move signals a continued shift from creator-led hype to long-term consumer branding. Rather than limiting Wavers to online buzz or novelty drops, the brand has prioritized scale, accessibility, and everyday retail placement, a strategy increasingly favored by creators aiming for longevity beyond social media cycles.
A Creator-Filled Guest List and Disco-Driven Atmosphere

The invite-only party drew a crowd that blended internet culture, fashion, and reality television. Guests included Natalie Noel, Dixie D’Amelio, Georgia Hassarati, Ben Waddell, alongside Australian influencers and models Meika Woollard, Isabella Shoemark, Bambi Northwood-Blyth, Angelina Kondakoff, Lana & Mads, Andreas Metaxa, and Andi Lew.

Inside the Pills' residence, the energy leaned unapologetically toward disco. A DJ-led dance floor ran late into the night, fueled by champagne, specialty cocktails made with El Cristiano Tequila, and Celsius to keep the momentum high.

Wavers snacks were featured throughout the space, keeping the product front and center as guests counted down to midnight.

As the clock struck 12, attendees gathered for a collective toast to new beginnings and the year ahead.

The moment was capped with a custom oversized cake shaped like a Wavers snack bag, a not-so-subtle reminder of what the night was really celebrating.

From YouTube Stardom to Scalable Consumer Brand
The Sydney launch reflects a broader evolution in Dobrik’s career. Best known for shaping YouTube’s modern vlog era, Dobrik has spent recent years expanding into physical-world ventures with staying power.

Wavers is an extension of Doughbrik’s Pizza, his West Hollywood pizzeria that gained traction through fan engagement, pop culture relevance, and social-first storytelling.

Rather than positioning Wavers as a celebrity-branded gimmick, the product focuses on repeat purchase appeal and clean-label credibility.

The snack line pulls flavor inspiration directly from Doughbrik’s fan-favorite pizza combinations while aiming to compete in mainstream snack aisles, not just creator merch shelves.
Inside the Wavers Brand

Wavers, officially known as The Original Doughbrik’s Snacks, is available in four core flavors: Late Night Pizza, Extra Cheesy, Spicy Pickle, and Hot Honey.
Each serving contains between 120 and 140 calories and is made with simple, recognizable ingredients. The snacks are non-GMO, free from artificial flavors and preservatives, contain zero trans fat, and include a vegan-friendly Spicy Pickle option.
The Australian expansion positions Wavers within a competitive snack market driven by novelty, flavor experimentation, and cultural relevance, areas where creator-led brands continue to gain ground when executed with intention.
