Delabeat Continues to Expand His Aural Palette on the Captivating “Je Suis Full Time”

The Parisian up-and-comer continues to show why he’s one of the brightest talents overseas.

Emerging from the beautiful metropolis most known as the city of love, Parisian-based producer Delabeat first burst onto the scene in late 2023 with the arrival of his acclaimed debut “Soudain - Tu Danses.”

Although his budding career is still exceedingly fresh, in the short time since he’s been active, he’s shown tantalizing glimpses of potential with each release. Following up “Soudain - Tu Danses” with similarly captivating releases like “Je suis full-time” and “Je suis con - acid jazz version,” if this talented producer can maintain the standard he’s set for himself, the sky will be the limit.

Listening to Delabeat’s releases is like letting him cast a spell over you, fusing lofi vibes, urban beats, and tantalizing acid jazz undertones to captivate you. From the hypnotizing depths of lo-fi to the pulsating rhythms of urban and house, Delabeat’s sonic palette and willingness to switch things up have kept his releases as diverse as they are compelling. His debut house anthem, “Aquí amor,” captivated ears and eyes, as his collaborator vj VJAUX's stunning visuals elevated the track to viral stardom in the digital realm. Everything Delabeat touches simply turns to gold.

Although you can’t go wrong with Delabeat’s releases, “Je suis full-time” is the perfect introduction to the colorful world the Parisian artist has created. Funky, addictive grooves set a vibrant tone and backdrop for an inspired vocal performance.

Jazzy, classy, and upbeat, this release has apparent soul and jazz undertones, but it also feels like it incorporates the lo-fi sound Delabeat is known for and hip-hop. Delabeat has done a masterful job combining so many competing influences, and the cohesive sound of the release is a testament to his significant musical ability. If you’re a fan of lo-fi or find yourself in the mood for a modern release with a jazzy touch, you’ll love this release.

Delabeat’s “Je suis full-time” is a beautiful, easy-on-the-ear offering perfect for unwinding after a long day. Whenever you’re ready, tap in and stream the song, which is out now on all Majour streaming platforms.

Welcome to BuzzMusic, Delabeat! We loved “Je suis full-time,” so we had to ask: What inspired this release?

The song Je suis full time was born with the idea of valuing time and one's own space. We are constantly at the center of other people's lives, but it is also nice to say that being with ourselves makes us breathe. For the video, we chose an urban location and a street dance to fully reflect the song's mood. Sidney was a great performer.

What's your favorite part of the creative process for your releases?

The start, the idea, the first notes that trigger the creative flow—everything stems from a moment, a situation: Maybe everything happens on a sunny day or a rainy day, but it doesn't matter. Music can intercept every Little variation, transforming the world around us into a delightful sequence of notes.

Do you have a favorite music-related memory, and do you have any advice for aspiring artists?

I have a memory that starts from Pernety, here in Paris, in the spring. I was 16 years old. A song by Jill Scott was in the air. I felt a punch in my stomach and decided that those sounds would remain in my life. From that moment, I started playing music. I would tell artists to pursue those productions that can cause us a thrill without any fear of being judged.

If your audience could take one thing away from your music, what would you want it to be?

Not a lesson but rather a feeling. Well-being. Lightness. With a thread of melancholy. Feeling good listening to a track I produced.

What’s next for Delabeat? Can we expect to hear more new music soon? Is there anything you want to say to your fans?

Sure! Two projects with the artist mokenzun in the coming months, and in April the release of a new single and video. I think music is a blessing. Experiencing it is like thanking every breath we take.
