Emergency Tiara, a spirited pop group based in New York, is lighting a fire with their new release “Do Not Disturb.” The group’s curator and lead singer, Juri, creates songs that fall into a variety of genres; from French noir to J-Pop and everything in between! Born and raised in Tokyo, Juri has been uplifting audiences for a long time. She has worked with many industry icons including Tata Vega, Bootsy Collins, Raheem DeVaughn, Dontae Winslow, and Valerie Simpson. “Do Not Disturb” is a bright and bustling pop song with hints of indie. Besides an energetic drum beat, there is minimal background music in the song which spotlights Juri’s voice. She has a unique sound like nothing you’ve heard before and topped it off with a large range. When Juri hits her high notes with a slight edge it brings out the real feeling she puts into her music. The emotion in the vocals for such a lighthearted beat and melody is refreshing. Lyrically, the song is about “shutting the door” on heartbreak and rebuilding the life she had before her relationship. The words are uplifting and motivate the listener to appreciate life without disruption from others. Emergency Tiara has recently been making waves in the music industry by performing at SXSW and Primavera Sound Festival. They have even toured with Belinda Carlisle in the UK as the supporting act. With such an impressive history of performing, we are excited to see what Emergency Tiara has to offer us next.
