Tell us about your road to success!
Thank you so much for having me! I’m a fashion designer and singer/songwriter. I started out with my womenswear brand (Emily Daccarett) and for my first show, I worked with a film composer, S. Peace Nistades, to write original music for my fashion film and runway show. I fell in love with songwriting and overtime the desire to write more poplike music kept growing. I took some time to go to music school to work on my craft and production, which led me to write my EP Cannibal. I’ve been combining my two passions, fashion, and music, ever since. It’s a challenge but I love it!
If you could be in two places at one time, every day...where would those places be?
I would love to be at my family beach house in Honduras and Paris. I love just being in the water and summer in Honduras is just that. If I’m not at the beach, I’m swimming in the pool. Paris is my second home and I love getting lost in my thoughts while walking around the city.
How do you get pumped up before a big event?
Honestly goofing around with my band and everyone else who is a part of the show. It helps to keep down my nerves and gets us into the right mood.
What is your mantra?
This is coming from a perfectionist, for any show my mantra is…. “Might as well have fun because its too late to change anything so no point in stressing out about it.”
