Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Eric Hirshberg is challenging the distractions of modern life with his latest album, More Is Not The Answer. Exploring everything from technology and social division to parenthood, gratitude, and human connection, the ten-track project delivers a timely reminder that the things demanding our attention aren't necessarily the things deserving it.

Hirshberg brings an unconventional perspective to the conversation. Having previously served as CEO of Activision Publishing and Deutsch LA, he spent decades working in industries built around capturing people's attention. Now, through songwriting, he's examining what happens when that attention is directed toward the wrong things.

The album opens with "For Real," a collaboration with acclaimed singer-songwriter Aloe Blacc that encourages empathy and meaningful conversations across differences. The track also marked Hirshberg's national television performance debut on Live with Kelly and Mark, introducing his message to a wider audience.

Throughout the record, Hirshberg approaches contemporary anxieties from different angles. "We're All In This Alone" examines the isolation created by algorithm-driven digital environments, while "The Grand Elsewhere" confronts our increasingly fragmented attention.

"What's Not Wrong" offers a refreshing perspective on gratitude, encouraging listeners to recognize what's going right rather than constantly searching for what's missing.

The album's emotional foundation becomes particularly apparent on "Less Important Things," a reflection on parenthood and letting go, while the title track, written following the devastating Los Angeles wildfires, considers what truly matters when material possessions and familiar comforts disappear.

With More Is Not The Answer, Eric Hirshberg offers a thoughtful examination of contemporary life, reminding listeners that meaningful connection, presence, and gratitude remain essential in a world constantly encouraging us to want more.
