Known as one of the most promising young artists in the music scene today, the 15-year-old pop artist, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Ava Della Pietra releases her hopeful single "Home," inspired by the devastating stories of families torn apart on the Southern border.
Over the past year, Ava's music career has seen exponential growth, leading her music to the Top 40 Radio Charts with vast critical acclaim. Not to mention performing on national tours of Les Misérables and White Christmas while also joining the original cast of Broadway's School of Rock, Ava Della Pietra is incredibly familiar with our cut-throat industry at a relatively young age.
Now preparing for her debut album, Ava is excited to preview the project with its next single, "Home.” One of her most lyrically powerful and inspirational pieces to date, Ava soothes our souls with her uplifting pop delivery while letting us find a safe place to rest within the song's calming and inclusive atmosphere.
"Home" begins with upbeat drum breaks, snaps, and a plucky synth arrangement. Once Ava starts vocalizing her empathy for those who were torn apart from their families on the southern border, she quickly reminds listeners like us to lend a helping hand to those in need. What makes the song all the more engaging is Ava Della Pietra's bright vocal portrayal, serenading us alongside the upbeat sonics.
Reaching the song's second half, an emotional string section enters the song and perfectly complements Ava's soothing and comforting vocal delivery. Ending the song off with vast hope and faith for a better future, Ava helps us become aware of such tragedies while encouraging us to take a break from our everyday struggles and look at the bigger picture.

We truly appreciate the meaningful lyrical message within your latest single, "Home." What inspired you to write a song about the tragedies of our southern border?
Over the past few years, I have been shocked to learn about the terrible conditions that children have had to endure at the border --being separated from their families and left alone. I also know that there are kids around the world struggling in other ways, including emotional challenges, pressures at school, problems at home, and so much more.
What was the main message within "Home" that you wanted your audience to take away for themselves?
“Home” is about lending a helping hand to those in need. I hope this song can encourage people to be there for one another.
What was the creative process like for "Home" when navigating the instrumentals and sonics? Did you work with any producers or engineers for the song's sonics?
The song was produced by Will Hicks, and I had so much fun working with him! Even though this song deals with a serious topic, I knew from the beginning that I wanted it to have a hopeful sound. This definitely influenced the production.
Does "Home" give us any hints as to what we should anticipate from your forthcoming debut album?
My songs will continue to address issues I see in the world. I’m constantly growing as a musician and person, so my style and the topics I write about are changing as well. It’s been a great experience since each song I write teaches me something new about myself.
