M.A.R.X. is an eclectic artist hailing from El Salvador. Born into a musical family, M.A.R.X had a childhood full of various genres of music. A gifted musician, he began playing piano at the age of four and was introduced to classical music at the early age of 9. M.A.R.X has had more than a decade of musical experience and has quite an impressive repertoire under his belt. “Ambrosia” serves as the first single from his upcoming album!

M.A.R.X! Welcome back to BuzzMusic! What inspired you to first begin making solo music and releasing it to the public?
Thank you BuzzMusic, great being here.
Wanting to express how I hear music in my mind and sharing that with the world. I always wanted to share my take on music, my specific style of composing and arranging. Sharing it as a solo artist is what gave me the space to do that.
You seem to be an artist that puts more thought into his lyrics than most. What can you tell us about the lyrical depth within “Ambrosia”?
So for this song I had the pleasure of working with a songwriter named Areli Castro. She's responsible for this one. It's very rare for me to let people into my creative process but she brought a different element to the song with her lyrics. She was able to express what I wanted the song to be. It took the song to another level. I feel it was the right call artistically for Ambrosia.
Since you’ve been making music for several years, how would you compare some of the earlier material you’ve written to your newest release “Ambrosia”?
Ambrosia is the first finished take on a sound I've been working on for years. What I had been experimenting with in past songs all evolved into this sound. I would say Ambrosia is me finding myself in my music. And in past songs, I was still searching.
In all your years of making music, what has been the achievement you are most proud of thus far?
When I was 14 me and my father started a band that was just made up of kids. Me and my siblings, my cousins and a couple of other kids. I directed the band and Co-produced the songs we made with my father. We took the band all over El Salvador and got to perform huge stages and play TV events viewed by millions
At that time I feel we inspired a lot of kids to get into music and follow what they were passionate about. It was a great time, and I'm really proud of what we accomplished.

We really appreciate you chatting with us about your incredible music! What’s next for you artistically? Does your creativity manifest itself in other ways?
More immediately is the release of the music video for Ambrosia. Which is coming next month
And after that is the album I'm currently working on which will be released next year.
Ambrosia is the first single off the album. the second single is coming out early next year.
It does. I'm also a dancer. I have a lot of passion for dance and I dedicate a lot of energy to that side of my life. It's great that it's also part of what I do in my live shows.
