Halon Enlists Ghostface Killah For A Sinfully Fun Remix Of “Music To Get Rich To”

Halon described her release “Music To Get Rich To” as “a song where the divine world makes small glimpses in the material one.” Having already made waves with her hauntingly beautiful dark soundscapes and poetic lyrics, “Music To Get Rich To” was Halon’s declaration of her arrival on the biggest stage. Now featuring Ghostface Killah on the remix, Halon further cements herself as an act to watch now and in the future.

“Music To Get Rich To” was already sinfully dark and delicious. Still, Ghostface Killah adds another layer of sound that seamlessly blends with Halon and her labelmates Jahju16 and Lorentz to elevate an outstanding listening experience further. Halon’s graceful and ethereal vocals balance the more intense rhymes of Ghostface Killah and Lorentz, while Jahju16’s dancehall-influenced verse infuses some island sound into the production. It’s a delicate balance, but it speaks to the strength of the artists that they can make this work. Impressively, Halon’s vocals are still the centrepiece for this track, as her signature vocals tie the whole song together and flawlessly transition each of her peers’ verses together.

Although “Music To Get Rich To” may have a new verse, some remain the same. Halon’s still a certified bag chaser; above all else, she remains true to her artistic vision. If “Music to Get Rich To” is any indication, she’s well on her way to fulfilling her musical dreams.

Welcome back to BuzzMusic Halon! We didn’t think “Music To Get Rich To” could be even better, but you and Ghostface took it to another level! How did you decide you wanted Ghostface Killah on the track, and what does collaborating with such a legendary artist mean?

Thank you, guys! We did, didn’t we? I’m a big fan of Wu-Tang, Ghost being my favourite; this was a given. He is also what the song symbolizes - hedonistic and spiritual in an interesting and fun conflict. It means the world to me to have such an icon on a song this early in my career. S/o to him for that.

So in the short time since we’ve last talked, you’ve been blowing up even more! What does it feel like to have more and more people discover, acknowledge and, most importantly, enjoy your work?

Ah, it feels great. I’ve been writing in solitude for so many years, so have the music out there, and for people to like it the way they do is incredible (supposed to be read in Italian: incredible).

What drives you to make music?

An urge to create beauty. I love it and want to contribute the way I can.

How would you describe your music to new listeners?

Spiritual and hedonistic in a movie-like fashion?

What’s next for Halon? Can we expect to hear more new music soon?

Album coming in May! So it’s not too far now. Much love! x
