Anthony Mejia-Hernandez better known as Swízzy is a Miami native. This rapper and songwriter is inspired by musicians like Drake, The Weeknd, Post Malone, Bryson Tiller, Tory Lanez, and Kanye West just to name a few. Swízzy is ready to take the world by storm, musically! He embraces the future with a commitment to excellence that will undoubtedly facilitate lifelong dreams! Swízzy has a new project and it is called Press Play and it is a 5 song EP that is currently streaming on all music platforms. Tuning into the track number 2 “Unconditional”.
First I would love to point out the artwork for this EP. This was some delicate and very elegant graphic art done on this EP. And that detail alone says a lot off the jump. I appreciate artists that see out every detail down to the cover art. This particular track is a feature and a wonderful feature might I add. The combination of Swízzy and his feature really compliments one another. But what really sets this song off is the production. Really heavy 808 in this track and it gives the song that R&B/trap feel. The lyricism is done well and the versatility of the song really allows you to play it for so many different reasons.

Hey! Could you introduce yourself to our readers?
Hi, I’m an independent Hip-Hop recording artist and songwriter born and raised in Miami, Florida. I’m 22 years young with a Dominican background. I’m heavily influenced with R&B, Dancehall, and Hip-Hop/Trap, Latin, and EDM.
What got you started in the music game?
I’ve been rapping at an early age. I started writing poems in 3rd grade and I impressed my fellow classmates and teachers with my poetic ability at such a young age. During 6 grade in middle school, I took my poetry to the next level and actually started writing music and performing my songs at the school’s talent shows all throughout middle school and high school. And with the great reactions and feedback from it all, I knew this was my calling so I kept at it ever since!
What is the background behind creating the EP Press Play?
Press Play was intended for the listeners to not only listen to each track, but to focus mainly on the lyrics and the story that each track tells. Every song on this project is meaningful and every track sounds completely different.
It’s an album for everyone and based on true events and experiences that is relatable.
In the track “Unconditional”, is there a tie to something personal? If so what?
I just wanted to make a related song that we all should want in our relationships with people and our love ones.. trust and unconditional love.
What can your listeners expect coming from you in the near future?
Expect versatility, I plan on experimenting with my music and rap about all types of subjects/topics and experiences that we all go through.
