Pop singer-songwriter Hilary Roberts turns a deeply personal breaking point into a message of self-preservation on her new single, “Cutting Ties.” Written after Roberts reached what she describes as the final straw in a painful family situation, the track explores the difficult decision to walk away from toxic relationships and finally choose yourself.
“Cutting Ties” is rooted in Roberts’ own experiences, but its message reaches far beyond them.
