Hollow Visions is an up and coming artist making waves from Whittier, CA. Hollow is no stranger to hard times and his smooth, hip-hop style conveys a message to inspire people to do what they want to do. His message is real feel-good music with an authentic twist and a refreshing new vibe. With his ability to move a crowd and draw them into his vibe, he delivers a mellow beat with lyrics designed to make you think.

Hollow Visions’ latest track is titled “Still Motions” and the musicality of the track has much more to it than the average hip-hop beat tends to offer. The opening few moments showcase a fresh use of sounds that seem new yet that effectively still represent the same simplicity when it comes to the chords and notes chosen for the signature riff. When Hollow Visions’ vocals come into play within “Still Motions” it underlines that central character of the song. The sound of the voice, the flow, it all adds to that original element of the unexpected. The music throughout “Still Motions” is smooth and everything works well to maintain this, but there’s also a certain truth to it all. Hollow Visions talks about the difficulties of life through the raw sound of the performances. There’s a confidence about it all that hip-hop fans will likely be drawn to.

Hey Hollow Visions! Welcome to BuzzMusic! What inspired you to first begin making music and releasing it to the public?

I felt I had something to say, something someone could relate to. Music is like therapy, and I wanted to be that for others.

You seem to be an artist that puts more thought into his lyrics than most. What can you tell us about the lyrical depth within “Still Motions”?

For a while, I wasn’t making time for my family or friends in my personal life. Everything revolved around music and work if I wasn’t working for a paycheck I was in the studio, or at a show. I got so self-involved I didn’t notice the distance I had put between me and my family. This song was my acknowledgment of that fact, a wake-up call.

Since you’ve been making music for several years, how would you compare some of the earlier material you’ve written to your newest release “Still Motions”?

I actually recently compared some of my older material to my new, and some moments were cringe-worthy. I feel I’ve tamed my voice now, my lyrics are a lot tighter, I feel like I’ve tapped into myself. I and the beats flow together effortlessly now.

We’ve also been bumping your album “Homecoming”! Congratulations on your huge return from your hiatus. What have been some of your proudest or most memorable moments in music so far?

Being able to travel overseas these last couple of years was a big milestone in my musical career. I had dreamt of performing abroad since I was a kid. I got to perform at the New Skool Rules conference in the Netherlands, and various shows in Barcelona and Paris.

We really appreciate you chatting with us about your incredible music! What’s next for you artistically? Does your creativity manifest itself in other ways?

I plan on pumping out as much material as possible. I want to be all over the place in 2020. I feel like I haven’t shown enough of myself, I want to flood my fans with new visuals and content.

I also have an interest in songwriting for other artists getting together and creating outside of my lane.
