Iam Spari Releases His Infectious Single “You Got It”

Writer: BUZZ LABUZZ LA

Remember how recently “No Guidance” by Chris Brown and Drake took the charts by storm due to its smooth-sailing impact on the women demographic? This is exactly the kind of effect we believe “You Got It” by Iam Spari will have! The infectious hook sings “You know you got it babe” with a feel-good melody that seeps into your brain. The playful lyrics were catchy, attention-grabbing, and harmonically rich. The verses had a well-executed delivery with great vocal control by Iam Spari himself.

“You Got It” is the kind of single that’s radio-ready due to its party-like vibe you may feel while listening. “You Got It” sends off a sensational aesthetic that gets you lost within the moment. It’s perfect for enjoying companionship, especially since Valentine’s day is approaching. The intimacy in “You Got It” felt authentic and pure which helped deliver a natural sexy vibe with the song. Jamaican native, Iam Spari moved to the Bronx, New York at just the tender age of 12. However, it was when he moved to Connecticut where he discovered his love for music. He’s still grounded by his Jamaican roots which are embedded in his artistry today. This can credit for the danceable rhythm you may hear in “You Got It”. “You Got It” had great lyricism accompanied by trendy vocalization to curate a perfect mood-changing hit that will digest well with this current crowd of urban music.

Welcome to BuzzMusic Iam Spari! How was the transition from Jamaica to New York, and from New York to Connecticut? How have the multiple environments influenced your artistry?

The transition was hard in terms of the language barrier but also made me more focused. I had to relearn how to speak but traces of the island vibe are still in me. An as for Hartford it’s like little Jamaican. The environments I’ve been in has helped me be able to translate my music to different environments, races and people, I’m great full for them.

"You Got It” was an infectious song that’s perfect to vibe too! What was your initial vision with this single? What were some arrangements that helped accompany this?

The initial imprint of “You Got It” was for me to get closer to the ladies. I’m for the queens. I believe all women are queens. I was inspired by all the females they should know their worth. Self-love is the best love. I think that’s often forgotten. I was blessed to be able to have a meeting with DJBuck of Hot937 New England by affiliation with a mentor Bandz Danero that believes in me and my craft. The song hit the airwaves and people loved. It leads to other opportunities like meeting with DJCraigG of Hot937 and many other great DJ’s from our area. Who are throwing they’re support behind our movement.

Can you tell us about the meaning of this song and what inspired you to write it? Any specific experiences or people that served as an inspiration for “You Got It”?

How do you manage to embed your Jamaican roots in your songs as you did in “You Got It”? Are there any key elements you go for?

The meaning of the song is unconditional love and trust. What inspired me was longing for my person. Even though I haven’t been blessed to meet them. I see real love all around me. “You Got It” is based on the relationship of Bandz Danero and his soon to be wife. Whoever day shows me what real love is. Love is so hard to find and everyone in this day and age Kong’s for that connection. This song was made to help people with that transition from single life to devoting yourself to someone.
