BUZZMUSIC Magazine Issue 06 // The Best Independent Sounds of Summer 26'

Welcome to the BUZZMUSIC Magazine: Summer '26 Issue. Over the last few months, we've spent a lot of time thinking about what BUZZMUSIC is really here to do. The answer has never changed.
We believe independent artists deserve the same opportunities, resources, and respect as anyone backed by a major label. That's why this quarter we've focused on creating free educational resources across our social media platforms while continuing to advocate for artists behind the scenes through our PR agency side.
This quarter alone, we've helped place 100+ independent artists in 50+ independent publications, giving them more opportunities to share their stories, grow their audiences, and build lasting credibility.
To us, independence isn't just a business model; it's a movement. It's about creating a music industry that's more accessible, more transparent, and built around artists. BUZZMUSIC exists to help remove barriers, amplify independent voices, and prove that great music can come from anywhere.
To everyone who has read an article, shared a post, submitted their music, or supported our mission, thank you. Your support allows us to keep building this community and championing independent artists every day.
Without you, there is no us.

ÅSA ORBISON

Swedish-American jazz vocalist Åsa Orbison has built a career rooted in timeless storytelling, blending European jazz traditions with the American songbook through a voice that feels both classic and refreshingly modern. After introducing listeners to her acclaimed album Swedish Jazz Standards earlier this year, she's now preparing for an exciting new milestone.
Åsa recently released "Hand I Used To Hold," her first original single, a deeply personal step forward that marks a new chapter in her artistry. Following years spent reimagining beloved jazz classics, the upcoming release allows listeners to experience her own songwriting and creative voice for the first time.
Produced alongside her husband, Roy Orbison Jr., Åsa continues to balance heritage with innovation. Her music has earned millions of streams worldwide; she's performed on platinum-selling recordings with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, opened for Macy Gray, and reached international audiences through recurring appearances on Below Deck Mediterranean.
As she continues to bridge Swedish and American musical traditions, "Hand I Used To Hold" promises to be her most personal release yet, one that reflects not only where she's been, but where her artistic journey is headed next.
