Who doesn’t love a good old-fashioned love song?
INNOVIBRATIONS is many things: a production company, a studio, a band, and a record label, but as member Greg Armstrong would tell you, the most crucial part of this project is the opportunity it provides.
For Armstrong and like-minded musicians, INNOVIBRATIONS is a creative space that empowers them to make creations that interest them, making covers and original songs that are as versatile as they are easy on the ears. As the INNOVIBRATIONS collective continues to march to the beat of their drum, their creative spirits remain as strong and inspiring as ever.
One of the majour characteristics of INNOVIBRATIONS that have separated them from their peers is their penchant for creation. They’re constantly looking to create new music or reimagine classics, and they do it with a passion and vigor that spills into each release. Above all else, they’re fans of music that reflects itself in their craft, and for their next release, they’ve fittingly channeled their passion for reimagining The Baby’s classic 1978 hit “Every Time I Think of You.”
The first words, “Every Time I Think Of You,” stir emotions with tender yet resolute keyboard play. A moment passes before impassioned vocals kick it up another notch with the opening lines, “Every time I think of you, it always turns out good,” speaking straight to the heart in that charming, old-fashioned way.
INNOVIBRATIONS take on “Every Time I Think Of You” definitely has a little of that vintage feel, but that is definitely in INNOVIBRATION’s favor, melding well with the heartfelt nature of this release.
Every note is delivered with passion and poise, and you can tell that this cover means something to the INNOVIBRATIONS crew. Especially considering Armstrong and INNOVIBRATION’s love for the original release, they’ve done it justice here.
INNOVIBRATIONS’s latest release, “Every Time I Think Of You,” is a charming and heartwarming take on The Baby’s classic release. Whenever you’re ready, tap in and stream INNOVIBRATION’s “Every Time I Think Of You”, out now on YouTube.
Welcome to BUZZ, INNOVIBRATIONS! We had to ask because we loved “Every Time I Think Of You”! Especially considering your love for the original, what was your favorite part of the creative process for reimagining this release?
Loved digging into the minute details, changing some things, leaving some the same, and always loved the chord changes in this one…but mostly discovering that I think the producer or writers (not written by John Waite) were trying to capitalize on the success of Bat Out Of Hell a year before. I never thought that about this song until diving in!
What’s been your favorite music-related memory as a group so far?
Innovibrations is a STUDIO group. Monster players and singers who do a variety of things musically on the road with different people….but INNOVIBRATIONS brings us together to Create, Innovate, and Vibrate!
What goals do you want to achieve through your releases?
More people learning about the vibe of INNOVIBRATIONS and attention to what we bring. It is always something different.
What do you want your listeners to feel when they hear an INNOVIBRATIONS release?
Out attention to detail, the quality of musicianship, incredible singers, and I am stickler for a fantastic mix, and Chuck Alkazian delivers that every time!
