Welcome to BuzzMusic, J-Movelle. It’s great to have you here chatting about your debut record, “STAR.” With this being the first time that you’ve stepped into a musical role, what inspired you to make this move?

I love music; I have been listening to music since my mother's womb. My mom said she, my big brother, and my sister would sing to me and talk to me every day while she was pregnant with me. Also, because my dad is a musician, he plays the keys and drums and sings. My grandmom & great-grandmom were amazing musicians, and my great-grandma was a singer. So I was born to do this.

Both you and Eturnul have great chemistry, which can be heard in your song! What was it like working with her to create this song? How did the collaboration come to be?

Well, in this song, I created the melody and the baseline with my mouth. Then we sent the idea to my producer Steve White AKA Steve OG, and Steve Vicious. They sampled my voice and Melody in the track and created the beat exactly as I did with my mouth. At that time, I didn't want to rap the whole song. I just wanted to do the hook, so I talked my mom (Eturnul) into doing the verses, and she wrote the verses for my big brother Fredrick. He helped me with my hook, and of course, Eturnul critiqued it. I love sports, so we went with the direction of sports, and the rest was history. Eturnul and I have a natural connection on stage, sometimes we cannot even rehearse, but the performance is perfect. We know how to read each other and vibe. That's how I came together. Our connection is just natural and authentic.

Being as busy as you are with the motivation and entertainment industry, what makes you the happiest when you’re hard at work?

What makes me the happiest is inspiring people in our community, doing music, and being able to put a smile on people's faces when I hit the stage.

What words of encouragement do you have for your audience that may be looking for some extra motivation in life?

To be your first supporter, believe in yourself, and never believe the negative things that people say about you. No matter where you are today, tomorrow could completely change, dream big and believe and know that you are great. Words of J-Movelle.

What’s next for you?
