“Jaded” By Practice Will Have You Vibing Along To Every Bar

New Texas artist Samuel Hall, or better known professionally as Practice, is a Dallas based rapper and record producer. Every song that he puts out is mixed, mastered, engineered, produced and written by Practice. With southern Hip-Hop lyricism and catchy pop melodies, Practice provides a wide variety of diverse sounds in hip-hop while sticking to his Texas roots.

“Jaded” is a blissfully light on its feet yet fast-paced soundscape. It highlights Practice’s skills in both musicianship and production that shine brightly from the offset. It’s busy yet gentle all at once, the details and layers that make it up are each incredibly crisp and impressively crafted. The beat works beautifully underneath Practice’s personal outpouring of difficulty and observations on life. The track sounds great, calming you in contrast with the struggle implied by the concept. The arrangement is brilliant, longer lines follow the simple repetition of this what I know, paving the way for something catchy, hooky, yet loaded with emotion and depth. Some of the bars here are incredible poetic, notably open and honest, all of which works well to impress and connect all at once. Practice doesn’t hide behind anything, the music and the lyrics work as a unit to portray a sense of realness and purity. Even when effects come into play, they’re artistic choices. We love what Practice brings the table and can’t wait to see what he delivers next!

Welcome to BuzzMusic! Just to give a little background, how would you describe yourself as an artist, and what are the main values you want to represent within your music?

What's up BuzzMusic!? I would describe myself as a Southern Hip Hop Artist that has a lot of versatility. My music represents values like "being yourself unapologetically and self-expression" I want people to feel like they can be comfortable in their skin and be themselves when they listen.

What inspired the making of “Jaded”?

Jaded was a record that just kinda happened. I had made the beat like 9 months before I even touched it. I was just going through my beats one day and when I found it I immediately wrote the hook and verses to it. Then before you know it it was out!

How long have you been making music?

I have always wanted to be a rockstar as a kid. I started playing the guitar around 7. But I started making the music I make today when I was 14. I am 20 now so around 6 years now!

What’s one of the most important lessons you’ve learned so far in your journey as an artist?

Honestly to trust your gut. Always trust your taste and what you think is hot. If you rock with it someones else out there will too!

What’s next for you? What are your immediate plans, creatively, and what’s the bigger picture?

I release a new song every single Wednesday! So definitely be on the lookout for that! I am going to keep on making great music, doing shows, and music videos! I am excited for all of my fans to grow with me!
